Surgery Tomorrow 7-27-10

Hello everyone! My surgery day is tomorrow and I have a quick question for all the post-op people on here that had gas afterwards. What worked best to relieve the gas pains after surgery? I am already a gassy person and Im afraid mine will be really bad. :blushing:Sorry to be so blunt.PLEASE comment back with any help you have to offer. Thanks in advance.

Walking! When you get out of surgery, walk as much as you can. That is the best thing for the gas. I had surgery last Wednesday, and i still have a little gas, but it gets better every day.

Thanks RobynB1989!! I will make an effort to walk as much they will let me.

i have read and was told that Gas X strips are really good to have after surgery to help with the gas problems :}

I hope everything went well with your surgery today!

when I had surgery, I was told GasX chewables. I was popping them like M&M's. They did little to relieve the gas, but as someone said...the walking did!!!! and so did my heating pad. Good luck! Welcome to bandland
