  1. I can't believe I will have my band in less then 2 hrs. I have been wanting this for over 4 years. Today is my new begining to a healthier life!!
  2. Thanks RobynB1989!! I will make an effort to walk as much they will let me.
  3. Hello everyone! My surgery day is tomorrow and I have a quick question for all the post-op people on here that had gas afterwards. What worked best to relieve the gas pains after surgery? I am already a gassy person and Im afraid mine will be really bad. :blushing:Sorry to be so blunt.PLEASE comment back with any help you have to offer. Thanks in advance.
  4. I understand completely. I'm having my surgery on Tuesday(July 27th) and I have only told very few people. I know that these few people will not tell a soul.I think I mainly keep it a secret because I don't want people staring at me thinking" has she lost weight yet" everytime they see me. A lot of people don't understand this is not a surgery where you will lose all your weight really quickly. I don't want people judging me because I'm not a size 7 a month after surgery. I also don't want to hear useless opinions from anybody who doesn't know anything lapband. I look at it this way.I am excited to be banded and I'm saving myself from many unwanted comments about a subject I have already made my mind up about.
  5. I attended an ed-class at New Hope last night and it was my very last step before the big day. I can't believe it's only two days away!! I have not been able to sleep or think of anything else besides the surgery. I think I'm more worried:scared2: about the IV and the gas pain above anything else.I am a little nervous about going under to but I've heard great things about my surgeon Dr. Malley so I am sure it will all turn out great. I will post my surgery story as soon as I am feeling up to it. Tuesday can not get here quick enough!!:smile2:

That is my surgery date too. I'm looking forward to reading all of your pre-op/post-op posts. I'm going to try and post as much as possible since the big day is getting so close. Good Luck with your new journey!
  7. Congrats to you too! It would be great to hear from somebody getting their surgery so close to the day I have my surgery done. This week has been going so slow just waiting for the big days to get here. Keep in touch.
  8. I can't believe my surgery is only one week from today.I will finally be banded!! I am so excited! Anyone else getting banded on 7-27-10?
  9. Yes, that was true as well with my insurance. I was approved a few days after the paperwork was all send in to insurance.
  10. Hello everyone this is my first post. I found out Friday I was approved by my insurance(anthem bc/bs) for surgery:thumbup:. I am scheduled to get my LAP-BAND® on 7-27-10. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. I have been reading alot of forums on here and it has really helped me understand the pros of listening to your surgeons advice and the cons of going against them. I am really excited, scared, anxious, happy, and worried, all at once. I have been researching LAP-BAND® for around 4 years now and I am finally going to get it!! I look forward to having this site to help me through my journey.
