Today at my 11mth post lap band surgery appt, I am now not morbidly obese, just obese! went from a BMI of 49.9 to 38.7 and lost 22% body fat! I weigh less than I did 18yrs ago and even could fit into my wedding dress (had to see if I could). Finally I can say the surgery was the best birthday present to myself! All encouragment I have for people that are struggling, is keep close contact with your doctor, eat 60 grams of protein a day and drink your liquids!!!:thumbup:
