  1. Is it safe to eat pomegranates with the lap band?
  2. I had surgery on June 30th and had my first fill on August 3rd. I only got one cc so I have a total of 3 in my 10cc band. I go back on the 17th for another fill. At least I hope so, I have had no restriction and want to feel that this is actually doing something!
  3. I had my first fill today and it took quite awhile to find my port. Fortunately I had been numbed with lydocaine (sp?) first so I only felt pressure but I am really sore this afternoon and I'm still bleeding some, they had to go in through one of my incisions.
  4. I had my first fill this morning. The nurse practioner had a hard time finding my port but finally got it. She went in through one of my incisions and it is still bleeding after several hours. I called and they told me not to worry???:blushing:
  5. I had glue and still have a little one on incision.
  6. Good idea! Mine is: The Heflin Family Banded 6/30/10 Cammie:thumbup:
  7. That's great! I was banded on 6/30 and I have lost exactly 30lbs. (I did lose some pre-op). I go next week for my first fill and I am so ready! I feel NO restriction so I'm ready for it!
  8. I was banded on June 30th and I have my first fill next week. Since I got my band I have lost 15lbs (30 total from pre surgery), but I am eating way more than I'm supposed to too, I'm sure. I am always hungry but I am losing weight because when I feel hungry I start sucking down the Water. I am probably taking in too much water, I'm constantly drinking so I feel full because I am always hungry. I hope my doc goes ahead with the fill since I have no restriction either. check out my family blog! The Heflin Family
  9. I appreciate all of this information, I am having the same issue! I have not had a fill yet so I may feel differently after that. I really try not to drink while eating, it's just difficult so far. I get plenty of water in during the day so it's not that, I think it's just habit!
  10. That is wonderful!! I can't wait until I get that report too! Way to go!
  11. I was banded 6/30 so it's only been three weeks but I feel nothing! I can't find my port, don't feel my band at all and feel no restriction. I have had no BP and can eat pretty much whatever. I'm on soft foods but I am doing fine with whatever I eat. Will I be able to feel anything at my first fill? I have a 10CC band, any idea how much the doc will fill it?
  12. Lol I had this same question! It was day 3 for me:tongue2:
  13. I was banded on 6/30/10 and I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter with special needs. She does not walk and weighs 26lbs. I was very concerned about this! My doc told me no lifting for two weeks. Well, there were times about day 8 that I had no one else at home with me so I had to pick her up. I had no problems. It's been 3 1/2 weeks since surgery and I feel no pain or discomfort at all.
  14. I was banded on June 30th and I have had no problems. However, when I eat I can eat more than what I'm supposed to. How long until I will start to feel restriction? My first fill is Aug. 3rd so I'm assuming it will at least be then or after another fill. I am losing weight so I'm happy about that but I know myself, if I can eat more I will!
  15. I was banded on June 30th and I don't have an appetite either. I'm nowhere near drinking what I'm supposed to. I'm struggling to drink my protein shakes and eating my yogurt. I really have no desire to eat at all. I'm hoping it will get better soon
