I have been lurking in the shadows reading the different threads. I decided I want to have the lap band done. I am at the heaviest I have ever been at and nothing I have tried has worked. I am in the Northern Va area in between Richmond and Maryland. I am waiting on my referral from Tricare. I am trying to find a place to have this done. Anyone know of any good doctors that do the Lap Band?

Welcome aboard and hunker down. The insurance approval process can seem lengthy.

Use the time wisely and just keep reading and asking questions as they come up.

Congrats on your decision to have the band. My advice would be to go to Lapband .com and search for a surgeon in your area. ITs a good way to see whats out there!

Welcome! And congrats on deciding to do the band! I would do it again a second! It's been the best thing I've ever done for myself! Haven't felt this good since my teens! Good luck with everything!!!:smile:
