First fill

I had my first fill about 4 wks ago and I haven't lost any weight since then? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I exercise more now than I used to and I eat smaller amounts? What could be wrong?

Could it be muscle mass gain or maybe not enough calories? Or maybe just a plateau... Hope the scale gets moving again soon!

I think I lost like just a few pounds when I got my first fill. There wasn't much restriction, so I was hungry all the time which led to some snacking. After my second fill I felt a little restriction. Right now I am too full and can barely drink, which has led to a 16 pound weight loss in 2 weeks. I am going to the doc tomorrow to have some liquid taken out.

You probably just need another fill. How many CC's are in your band? I have 7cc and it's too much, at my last fill I was 5.8cc, so I need to be somewhere in between there.

Hang in there.... keep the faith. The same thing happened to me. I had my first fill on May 26 and have lost no weight until today... I see a one pound loss. My next fill is one week from today. My weight loss is going very slowly.... but as long as it's going... I'll have to hang in there, too. Try not to get too discouraged. It will happen.

You provide us with absolutely no information except that you had a fill. Any replies you get will be guess without at least a couple of the questions below answered.

  • How long have you been banded?
  • How much have you lost since you started the process?
  • What is your height and weight?
  • How much do you need to lose to reach your goal?
  • How much are you exercising?
  • How many calories are you consuming daily?
  • Are you male or female?
  • How old are you?
  • How many meals are you eating?
  • Are you snacking between meals?
  • Are you logging your food and drink?
  • Are you drinking at least 64 ounces of Water daily?
  • Are you consuming at least 50 grams of Protein daily?

We want to help. Give us just a tad more info and it will make it easier.

I have 3 cc filled so far. I don't feel much resistriction at all. I weighed myself this morning and actually found I finally lost 3 pounds! So maybe I need another fill and just be patient and stick in there.
