Are any type of pain meds okay to take after getting banded? I wasn't sure if anti inflammatory meds would irritate my stomach or not. I'm having menstrual cramps and my usual go-to is Ibuprofen, but I'm afraid to take anything for fear of vomiting.

I was told no more ibuprofen, advil, motrin ever again. I was given liquid hydrocodone after surgery. If I were you, I would go get children's liquid tylenol.

I was told that I could have Motrin, once in awhile, as long as I took it with milk.

I would check with your Dr. if you are unsure.

I was told that I can have anything if I need it. Was suggested to lower my Ibuprofen to 400mg instead of the 800 I had been taking... just make sure I have food in my stomach. I have hydromorphone for pain in case I need it.
