does the band absorb the fluid?

I am about 7 months post op.... I have lost 51 pounds and have had five fills with about 1cc each. these past couple of weeks I am feeling more hungry then I have been. It has been two months since my last fill and i have an appointment for next week but i dont understand why I am getting so hungry again and why I am able to eat more... Help!!! I am starting to wonder about the doctor.. does he put in disappearing fluid??? not completly joking with that.

No, the liquid doesn't disappear. The fat stores around your stomach shrink and the band gets looser which is why we need fills every so often.

I went for my second fill last Friday. The doctor said that the band was completely open no fluid was in it. He put 5cc's in this time and said I would definitely fell a restriction. Why I didn't ask him where the fluid went I don't know. Guess I was nervous when I realized he was having a problem. He will be the first one I call tomorrow. After readling several posting where people say their band had a leak I am really upset.

So I am now a little more informed... I am going to the doc on monday and a friend is coming with me this time.. we are going to insist that he check the amount of fluid in my band....he charges 200 for each fill so if its not all there I think he should fill me to the right amount for free... at the very least.. I am scared of a leak but if he continues to keep me at a good level even with leak I can wait for revision surgery.... I am more then halfway there..... 35 more pounds to go... yippie!!!!
