When does PB/vomiting become bulemia?

When I've had fluid added in the past, I've had a few days where I needed to um... "remove" the offending items from my stomach. Soft things included- like spaghettios or mashed potatoes. Granted, I'm making very poor choices, such as eating bread...

But I've made it a habit of eating the wrong things several times a day and then throwing them up when it causes pain (i.e. bread).

I only do it when in pain, but I seem to be giving a "devil may care" attitude to whatever I eat.

Regardless, the frequency with which I am making myself throw up is a little bit disturbing to me.

Any thoughts?

I tend to overeat at least twice a week and have become very adept at forcing it up and out when I get stuck.

My surgeon got pissed when I told him this. He said if I keep it up, it is only a matter of time before I am on his operating table to have a slip corrected.

I guess when you push enough, you end up pushing some of your lower stomach through the band and that is what a slip is.

I am also PB'ing and vomiting. It doesn't happen every day...maybe 2 - 3 times a week. I don't do this intentionally. I think I am too tight, but after 10 months with no restriction I am hesitant to call my Dr. I had my last fill under Flouro and don't want this to end up being a waste of time and money. (I had to beg my Dr. to do it under flouro.)

I believe slowing down and taking smaller bites help. I also try not to let myself get too hungry.

I don't work during the summer and will return on Monday. After meals I get real LOUD and deep hiccups - Anyone have suggestions?

I have noticed that many people who get the band do not deal with their food issues. They expect the band to do it. These are often the ones who end up in serious trouble. The subconsious mind will sabatage us no matter what if we don't deal with the underlying causes of obesity. You should consult a professional and you should get a small amount of fluid taken out of your band until you are mentally ready to deal with it... Hugs!!!
