Need to start full liquids!

Hello everyone! I was banded on May 18th and recovered quite easily from surgery. No nausea or trouble with the Clear Liquids. Gas has been horrible but I just keep moving and it helps.

However, I finally started getting that gnawing hunger pain yesterday. So I took a shot glass and sipped a little bit of a Protein Shake to take the edge off. I know some people were allowed to start Protein Shakes earlier depending on the doctors. I hope this wont affect my recovery. I tried to keep it in seriously small doses but it took the hunger pains away.

hi lisa when i got to that point i picked up some Soup from a local restaurant and strained it.

It was still clear liquids but the different spices etc.. made all the difference in the world.

I did chicken noodle soup and french onion

so worth it! and helped me stick with my docs orders

I was told full liquids right away. I didn't have any problems. Seems different doctors give different orders. I don't think you've done any harm. Good luck in your journey!

I was on clears only in the beginning and when I felt starved I got some egg drop soup and then strained it... it helped immensely (although now I can't even bear to smell it LOL)
