hi everyone, i'm suki (rhymes with pooki, not sucki, snort newbie here i've been lurking and reading for about a week or more now. i'm really glad i found this place, everyone seems very nice and knowledable. i'm really nervous, my mother and myself are getting banded on dec 13th by dr ortiz in TJ. at least we'll have each other. we're stayin an extra day just incase we aren't up to flying right away. we're in florida so it's gonna be a long trip. we arrive in TJ on the 12th, surgery the 13th and we'll be flying home on the 16th, do you think that's enough rocovery time before getting on a flight back to florida? also, we do plan on flying back for a couple fills initially, but does anyone have any florida doctors they would recommend for fill?

is there anyone else out there who is going to be in TJ the week of dec 12th?? any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi, Welcome to bandland. The one thing that I would suggest is to get assisstance at the airport. You can call ahead and explain that you will be having surgery, and they will have a wheel chair for you and some will push you to the gates to catch your flight. I flew from Atlanta, had to change planes in houston. That is a lot of walking to do right after surgery. Good luck, if you have any more question please ask.

Hi and welcome aboard. What part of Florida do you live in? I am in Miami and there is a doctor here that will fill patients that were banded in Mexico. Just let me know if this is of interest to you and I will send you his information. I do know that he charges $300.00 per fill for those patients as well.

Good luck and I hope both you and your Mom have successful surgeries and speedy recoveries. Let us know before you go so we can all say some prayers and send good thoughts for both of you.

oh yeah, almost forgot...try looking on the board for fills for someone in your area. or maybe give a search a try. I don't know the area, so I am no help there.
