Intro - day 1 post op

Hello all - I am on day 1 - post op and just wanted to intro and thank everyone for their posts, they have helped a lot to read and get info from those who have experienced this procedure.

I am excited, in pain...and....curious to see what the next several months hold for me.

Be well....Wayne

Wayne,

Good luck on your recovery, I'm sure the next few months will go well for you. I go in Thursday the 18th for my band, I'm excited, yet I hate hospitals, so I'm praying all goes well for me!

Good luck,

Tina

I will be praying for you - be strong and stay as calm as you can in the hospital. It is over so quickly you won't believe it.

God Bless..

Thanks Wayne! I hope your feeling a bit better.

Hi Wayne congrats to you. I'm also day 1 post op. I was only allowed ice chips and water until this morning. I'm now enjoying a cup of chicken broth and sf popsicles. Stomach is still very sore because the pain meds aren't really working. I jus requested sum of the liquid tylenol everyone speaks about. Congrats to you and everyone banded earlier this month. I'm so excited to be starting my journey.

Thanks for the reply. We should keep in touch as we started this journey on the same date. :scared2:

My pain is much better today - two days post op. I can feel a sizable difference in the discomfort. I am so happy for that...my legs - my calves - are sore as I think I was walking differently to help with the stomach pain. You get that?

I am on broth, Jello and muscle milk....that's about it. I want to cheat, but then again, I don't want to. I am ready to do what has to be done.

Drop me a line....Wayne

Good luck to all! I am being banded one week from today. I am hoping all goes well. Say a prayer that it does. R:thumbup:

Hi Ruth,

I'm getting banded tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 6:30am.. I'm a bit nervous, but that's really because I hate hospitals.. I'm sure you'll do fine. Good luck in your journey, and keep us posted how your doing :cursing:

Best wishes,

Tina
