3 Days Post-Op and I'm Hungry!

I got my band on Monday. I'm doing pretty well in my recovery but today I'm noticing that I'm hungry! I'm still doing my full liquid diet so I can have protein shakes, yogurt, jello, pudding, popsicles, and cream soups. So do I just eat my 4-6 ounces whenever I'm hungry or what? Thanks for any advice and encouragement!

I guess diarrhea is better then constipation. My belly hurts bad enough when I just cough....I'd hate to be straining to go to the bathroom. YOUCH!!

Thanks for all the input. I forgot that I had some pudding so I made some of that yesterday and that stayed with me a lot longer. I ordered some flavorless protein and when that gets here I hope to add that in to some of my yougurts and stuff to help it sit longer. I have been keeping track of I've been eating and the calories and I'm hitting about 500 calories a day or so. Maybe I'll convince my hubby and kids to go for a walk later to help if I need it. Thanks again!

I had my surgery on the 23rd my post-op diet is.

Breakfast 2oz pureed protein, 1oz pureed fruit

Lunch 2oz pureed protein 1oz pureed fruit

Dinner 2oz pureed protein 1oz pureed vegetables

This keeps me full all day. My problem is with constipation haven’t had bowel movement since day before surgery. Started the Benefiber today hope it works.

I had my surgery on the 19th, and I am just now to the point where I am hungry. Try taking some plane yogurt and adding some of your protein powder to it. I know that when I was doing my pre-op diet, I was having a really hard time with finding something that would stop the hunger pains, and this really helped. Good Luck!

What is your pureed Protein???

And how do you puree it?

I'm a member of the club too. Afraid to leave the house.

Count me in as a member of the diarrhea club! :cursing:

My pangs were definitely hunger. Some people don't get that feeling though - lucky for them!

Best of luck to you.
