Just got Banded

I am currently on week 2. I got banded in Mexico and was very impressed with the whole procedure. Any Questions feel free to ask.

Hi:

I am also going to Mexico in less than a week and I am quite nervous.

I am travelling - alone ( no one approves) and nervous about the trip back. It will be along flight from San Diego to Ottawa is the wrong side of the continent as well as way north.

How did you feel post op?

Who was your surgeon?

I speak some French but no Spanish - how will I get along without Spanish?

I tried to register and ask for advice on this forum but can't find my "Introduction" I hope you can answer me because I don't know anyone with a LAP-BAND® and don't know what to expect.

I am female, 50 and 5'4'' and around 184 lbs. which gives me a BMI of 32

Thanks, Pascale

Congratulations! How are you feeling? I am having surgery on 3/24 by Dr. Kuri in MX. I live in FL and the only part of the whole MX thing is the long flight home! I am petrified that I am going to be so uncomfortable and in pain. How did you feel going back?

Also, how are you handling your after-care? Will you be going back to MX for fills, check-ups etc?

Thanks for answering these questions.

Hey everyone. I haven't been banded yet, but my mom was in Mexico in january. She wasn't in much pain at all during the whole thing. Her flight home was fine, no problems or pain. I think she was given some pain meds to take with her, so that MIGHT have helped, but she never really felt bad at all even after the pain meds were gone.

Hope this helps!
