My preop diet consisted of two protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and a Lean Cuisine for dinner. I didn't start it until 1-1/2 weeks before surgery and lost 10 pounds. It was doable for me and it was nice to have the different Lean Cuisines to pick from--they even have some pizzas!

Thank guys! I already had surgery and i'm doing ok. I also lost 11 pounds during preop diet. Thank you so much for all the information though! :w00t:

I have not started my pre op diet yet, I don't start until the 28th, but I was looking it over to be sure to pick up the stuff I needed when I shop over the next two weeks.

4 protien shakes using Unjury, can add one more serving of the "food" items if one shake is prepared with water rather than skim milk.

Breakfast 1 pkg cream of wheat and 1 protien shakemade with skim milk

Morning snack 1/2 cup sugar free pudding

Lunch 1 smooth sugar free yogurt and 1 protien shake with skim milk

afternoon snack 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

Dinner 1/2 cup lowfat cream soup and 1 shake with skim milk

before bed 1 shake with skim milk

hang on, it´s a terrible diet....but it´s all worth it.

as soon as you start seeing the results, you´ll completely forget this torture.

goodluck

My doc said to do Atkins induction 7 days before surgery!
