  2. I have been trying to walk and it is just not helping. When I feel the sensation to burp, the air just doesnt come out. My pain is on my left shoulder and in my back. I'm going to try everything you guys told me and hopefully I can get rid of this fast. My insicions are really healing fast and I have no pain there :w00t: Thanks Guys!
  3. I had surgery 1/14/10 and I'm doing really well except for the gas pain. I have been taking GasX but it's not helping at all. I have also been walking a lot but still don't seem to be able to pass gas. What can I do? And for of those of you that haven't been banded yet please don't let the gas pain stories discourage you like it almost did to me. The pain is tolerable just uncomfortable. The surgery really wasn't bad, i'll post a thread with my experince. Thank you
  4. Thank guys! I already had surgery and i'm doing ok. I also lost 11 pounds during preop diet. Thank you so much for all the information though! :w00t:
  5. Catherine, thank you so much for the info. My surgery went great, I do have some gas pain but like you said, it really isn't that bad. I was up and walking 4 hours after my surgery but I still can't pass gas. I'll post about how my surgery went when I feel a little better.
  6. Greg, Im new to this also but I have found it very helpfull to read what people like us have been through. And I'm so ready to loose this weight so even if I'm nervous I HAVE to do this! Good luck with your surgery and I'll post after mine to let you guys know how it went.

  10. All they said was protein drinks, chicken broth ( which I hate), sugar free jello, sugar free koolaid and water. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions? Also which protein drink are you guys drinking?

  12. So I finally have my surgery date for this thrusday and I'm beyond nervous!!! I'm afraid of the post op pain. Can somebody please tell me what I should expect? Does anybody else have surgery that day also?
  13. I'm finding out my surgery date tomorrow and I have done a lot of research on my Doctor and he's great, I live in Ventura County so if you are interested let me know :smile2:
