Getting "Banded" on 1/7/10!

Hello everyone! I'm a 29 year old workaholic with an amazing boyfriend and no kids. Life's always been GREAT except for this pesky weight I've been dragging with me for my entire life. I'm on the pre-op diet and stoked to finally have my LapBand put in on Thursday! I've been reading the forums here for days, anxious for my own surgery date, and started blogging at www.singinglapbander.blogspot.com

How was post-op for you?

I am also getting banded on 1/7. I can't wait. I have lost about 9.5 lbs on liquids. I can't say I have been completely faithful to the liquid diet, but I have cut out the sugar. I hope it doesn't cause me any problems on Thursday, but I have been about to lose my mind just having liquids. Good luck Thursday.

Thanks - and congratulations to my fellow bander! I haven't been on a liquid pre-op diet. My diet regimen was: 2 whey protein shakes (one for breakfast, one for dinner) and a "sensible" lunch (lean meat, veggies, broth). Liquid intake has been restricted to only water, diet juice and the protein shakes. I was supposed to be on it for two weeks pre-op, but wasn't notified of my surgery until last Wednesday. So, I went four days on that diet and lost 8 pounds, and am doing a mostly liquid (broth, water, protein shake...had a little tuna today) diet for these last three days. I'm STOKED and can't wait for Thursday! :smile2:
