Driving yourself after surgery

How long do I need to wait to drive myself after surgery? My surgery was Dec. 17th. I'm 6 days out. I'm not on any pain meds (haven't been for days). And I can't seem to remember what the doc said about it.

I was okay'd to drive after I'd been off narcotic pain meds for 24 hrs. I had my surgery on Thursday, and the first day I drove was Monday. I don't know if that's a standard waiting period though.

Long as you're not on your lortab you can drive. I was driving Sunday, I had surgery Friday. I was completely off meds by sunday and back to normal.

I was told as long as you were not taking any pain meds. I had my surgery the same day as you. By Monday I felt fine enough to drive.

I had my surgery on Sat. and went to work on Tuesday. I worked a full day on my feet, and was fine. Tired but fine!!!

my surgery was dec 15th and I was told as soon as I felt like driving I could (no meds in my system tho)
