Dr. Daniel Campos, Bariatric Surgeon Daniel Campos, MD is a highly-regarded bariatric surgeon practicing in Coahuila, Mexico. He is board-certified and serves as Director and Chief Surgeon at Obesity Care Group (Centro de Obesidad y Cirugía Laparoscópica), one of the leading obesity centers in northern Mexico. Dr. Campos is also in charge of the Surgery Division at Hospital Angeles Torreón, part of Mexico's largest private hospital network. Dr. Campos earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAC) and completed an internship in general surgery at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) Clínica and a second internship in social service at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) Centro de Salud Rural No. 33. He then completed a residency in general surgery at the Hospital de Especialidades Centro Médico del Noroeste No. 2. Dr. Campos went on to receive international specialized training in bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, specialized training in laparoscopic surgery at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and specialized training in trauma surgery at the Shock Trauma Center, Maryland University in Baltimore.
