Dr. Aaron B. Bloomenthal, Bariatric Surgeon Aaron B. Bloomenthal, MD, FACS is a highly skilled board-certified bariatric surgeon practicing with the Roger Williams Medical Center. Dr. Bloomenthal earned his medical degree from the prestigious Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Dr. Bloomenthal completed a Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Dr. Aaron Bloomenthal was an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Hospital, in Boston, Massachusetts. Before joining Roger Williams Medical Center, Dr. Aaron Bloomenthal was a surgeon for the Center for General and Weight Loss Surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Bloomenthal is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS), and is a member of both the Rhode Island Medical Society and Massachusetts Medical Society.
