Dr. Joshua Trussell is an experienced general surgeon with a focus on and particular passion for weight loss surgery and surgical oncology. Dr. Trussell developed and founded the Northeast Texas Bariatric Center together with Dr. Hamilton.

Dr. Trussell received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Texas – Arlington and graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Trussell then completed his residency from Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Trussell’s general surgery practice here in Hunt County is with PCA Surgery.

On a personal note, Dr. Trussell is married to Adrianne. Together they have a daughter, Liliana. Adrianne also works in healthcare as a registered nurse at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Dr. Trussell enjoys caring for daughter and all the outdoor and recreational activities that Northeast Texas has to offer.
