    Late December Sleevers?

9 days post op and I’m down 14.6lbs I’m starting my weight loss from surgery day bc I didn’t have to do a pre op diet and I kind of went crazy lol. So I was supposed to go back to work yesterday, but I felt like I pulled something Tuesday. I was so scared it was something to do with my surgery, and my surgeon is out of town, so I went to my primary care dr yesterday. He took x rays which I haven’t heard back about yet, but he seems to think I fractured my rib coughing, not anything surgery related. So I’m headed back to work today armed with my pain pills from surgery and a lot of prayers. I’m glad we have this group, because I don’t like to share my weight loss victories with my family. It’s like that’s the only time they are proud of me when I’m losing weight and idk kind of makes me feel bad. If that makes any sense. Anyways sorry this was so wordy, but hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    Pre Op diet

Day three of pre op Milk diet .... A little fed up now, didnt realise how social our mealtimes are. Sitting drinking/or eating jelly is hard whilst all the family eat the lovely dinner prepared by myself. Did fam fav last night spaghetti with prawns in tomato sauce ... smelt so good! Anyone else in similar boat and just missing chewing?

    Liquid Diet Phase

Haha! Definitely daydreaming about food too! Makes it worse when I get on FB and Instagram and see all these meals and recipes! The good thing is that I am not as hungry as I thought I was going to be, which definitely confirms that part of the reason for my eating was about comfort and not hunger. I’m hoping too that this lethargic feeling goes away bc I was really hoping to go to the gym so we’ll see. I don’t want to pass out lol. My surgery date is on the 15th so just a couple of days before yours. All the best to you too! We will make it! [emoji1]

    Ketogenic Diet

I have just restarted keto after a 1 month trial before Thanksgiving. My lap band history is that I had the surgery done about 12 years ago (Nov 2005). I lost about 60 lbs and have put about half of that back (keeping in the 200-215 lb range). I felt good at my lowest (~175). My bariatric dr. did an initial fill post surgery (winter) and I had another fill a couple of months later. I had a partial unfill 2-3 years after the 2nd fill from a nurse that was doing them in the Marysville WA area (I was about 190 lb at the time, but had a hard time keeping dense food down especially protein). She has since closed down her fill/unfill business. As I was self pay it has been difficult to find someone to do fills/unfills (I can't afford $300+ each time, probably much more now plus the price of a fluoroscope exam). I would actually like an unfill (partial or total), but am now on medicare so can't afford an unfill unless I can find someone like the nurse. My daughter who also has a band is glad she had it done (she was substantially more overweight and had many more health issues including type 2 diabetes). However, I wish that I had not had it (I only had high cholesterol, slightly high blood pressure and sleep apnea). The band has made it very difficult in social situations (eating food) and I get stressed and then it is harder to keep food down and I usually have to excuse myself and go to the restroom to BP (vomit). As far as keto, it is not really a high fat diet unless you make it one. You should be eating good fats (olive oil, avocado, some nuts, I make keto mayo with olive oil). Since I can't eat a ton of protein, I don't feel I'm getting an overabundance of saturated fat and I try to eat leaner/cleaner cuts of meat and grass fed hamburger. I don't eat much bacon, maybe once a week I'll have a slice or two. The most important parts of keto is keeping your carbs low (20 g or less my preference or typically 20-30 when trying to lose weight) and moderate levels of protein (0.8 gram per kg of ideal body weight or you can scale down as you go if using your current weight; or see https://www.livestrong.com/article/535738-how-to-determine-protein-requirements/ to determine requirements). Too much protein converts into glucose. Look up Jason Fung (one of the "diet doctors" on youtube). Dr. Jason Fung completed medical school at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in nephrology at the University of California. He founded the Intensive Dietary Management Program in Toronto that provides a unique treatment focus for type 2 diabetes and obesity. He has an enlightening book called "The Obesity Code:...". He is an advocate of the keto diet and intermittent fasting. Another good source for inspiration is youtube's "Keto Christina". She has lost over 100 lbs and is very knowledgeable. She eats a lot of Irish bacon (very lean, not much fat compared to US bacon). P.S. I had my gallbladder removed at time of lap band due to stones and my daughter needed her gallbladder removed about 6 months post lap band surgery.

    Happily Sleeved

I completely understand why you say that It's kinda like you're undergoing therapy (therapy for yoru body) To date too soon, it would be a relationship or disaster waiting to happen. Almost like a rebound thing, if that makes sense. I completely get it. I see all these cute hot guys at my gym and even though I'm fat, my personality seems to make guys like me and laugh at me. And it buffs up my ego and esteem. I like to make people laugh in general, and i love to laugh too, so being around people like that make me happy. Sorry, I'm severly ADHD, What is the point of where I am going? Dating too soon, I get it Besides, what you're attracted to now, will change later You may be pickier ( bc you will be able to) Just stay as nice as you seem to be now, okay. I will too Great thing for our future boyfriend/girlfriends? We'll be a really cheap date (on food) And... two gastric people date, they could share an appetizer for dinner and bring it home in a doggy bag for days Bahaha Do you do facebook? Would you like to be my friend? If not, we can chit chat here. It's fun to talk with someone who has a mind and can contribute to conversation with ease lol Hugs
  6. My insurance wanted the 6 month diet, but they accepted a recommendation from my surgeon to skip it (he said the same thing mattymatt said about the dieting). It still took about 3 months for me to get all the appointments and tests done just because of scheduling issues though, and then I had to push the surgery date back a few weeks into february bc of work. That's still not much time though, from the other experiences I've seen/heard of, so I think I'm pretty lucky
  7. Thank you so much - while I'm not happy you have to deal with this issue too, I'm glad to know it's not just some problem with me. I assumed Everyone didn't feel hungry at first, and then when that wore off was different for each person. Never occured to me that I would never experience that anomaly at all! What a disappointment, sigh. I do take OTC Nexium bc I already had mild reflux before the procedure that was well controlled with the med. I should probably up my dosage to 40 mg, which is what typical Rx strength is, and see if that helps at all - thanks for the reminder about that. I have been chewing sugarless gum (and keeping track of the minimal calories). I get severe dry mouth from my meds that water alone doesn't always help. Plus, switching up flavors has been helping to keep cravings for things like hard candy and other sweets at bay. I just ordered Trident in bulk on Amazon, lol, so I hope this isn't an issue, but now I am wondering. The first few days post op I'd only have 2-3 pieces all day. Now I'm up to maybe 10, which is about 50 calories. I know there is a concern with excess gas caused by chewing gum. I do have some gas but nothing crazy or painful so far. But one thing I wonder about is that my tummy, espec around naval area, had taken on a "sunken in" appearance after surgery, and now I am back to "basketball belly" look - all round and firm and protruding. Could this really be caused by gas caused by chewing sugarless gum? Sheesh I hope not...but will investigate more...

Chest pain 5 days post op

Hey! I had the sleeve a day after you and I have been experiencing similar things - for me I get a pain behind my sternum whenever I swallow. This happens more with pure liquids than with creamed Soups. I hope it's a temporary deal bc I would be extremely devastated if this is an irreparable symptom. Good luck to us both! [emoji1374]
  9. I’ve been the same. I took one Imodium the first day I had the runs. Then I switched to kaopectate liquid bc it went down easier. Good luck!

    Naughty days?

I had a doughnut 10 days after surgery and immediately puked it back up. Just had to test the waters, I guess. Today (day 14) I had a quarter of a cupcake and kept it down. I’m tempted to eat poorly for dinner bc I’m starving, but the thought of puking up bad food is a strong deterrent for me.
  11. My sugar and the need for meds stopped when I did the 2 week pre op liquid diet had surgery Oct 3rd 16 so I'm a year 3month post op. Bs is great. I also had PCOS but had a hysterectomy about 3 months before so I'm not sure how much it would have helped. Fertility was one of my initial goal when I started my weight loss journey. I do feel my hormones are more regulated but it could be partial hyst, of by pass related. Sent from my 5056N using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I’m currently pre-op and in the process of getting approved for sleeve surgery. I just took a cruise with my son who is 15, and I’m so embarrassed and ashamed of myself. We went to the Bahamas and I feel like a total failure as a dad. My kid was zipping all over the ship up and down stairs asking me to do things and I couldn’t keep up. He practically begged me at times to do stuff and I couldn’t/wouldn’t. My clothes fit me awful and we skipped the “Elegant” dinner night because I didn’t have anything nice to wear. We walked to do some shopping on the island and I was a lather of sweat by the time we made it to the first store. I couldn’t/wouldn’t get a souvenir t-shirt because I was unsure how it would fit and I didn’t want to buy something and wait months to wear it after my surgery. My kid didn’t want to use the pool on the boat because I didn’t being my swim shorts or a shirt and would be jointing him. I’ll admit that I’m a bit vain like some folks are and I was crawling in my skin looking at the skinny, fit people all over the place showing skin and enjoying themselves. My point is that I feel like I robbed my kid, yet again, of father son time. I feel like I robbed myself of a good time too. The trip was meant to connect with my kid and relax. In a way I feel like it was a waste of time and money to some extent. Don’t get me wrong we had fun but not to the level that I know we should have. My solace is that I know that once I get approved I will have a tool that will help me be more productive in my weight loss. I know it’s not going to be easy and I will have many challenges put before me that I will need to overcome. I will finally NEED to address the mental BS that I have been struggling with since I was a little kid and figure out how to deal with it without hiding behind hurt feelings and food. I know I can and should do better for myself and my family. I’m going to need to eat right, take vitamins and make my fat ass get up and go to the gym, get healthy, get strong and show my son that being a man is, in part, about facing a challenge head on and working through it to the end. I’m going to dress nice for myself and my wife. Do fun things with my kid and take on the hobbies that I’ve been afraid to because of my size. I know things will change and I’m writing this more as a personal vent to myself and I’m not looking for confirmation of what has happened. I want to live a full life. Not just exist in a short sad one.
  13. I know everyone is different...So everything is different for each person. But when polling a group of people you can get a better sense of what is "typical", even in this totally atypical post-op world I've now joined you in. So, is anyone up for sharing your approximate # of cals you take in per day (or took in post-op rather)? I know many may not count calories, espec at first, being more concerned w/fluid & protein intake. I'm just curious, bc at the end of the day, in some ways it still comes down to calories in vs. calories out, right? I'm a little discouraged, I guess. Trying not to be, but failing. I lost 10 lbs. pre-op bc I did my extended pre-op diet in stages to stave off severe side effects. I was good with that decision. Three days post-op I weighed myself at the hotel and I was down another 5 lbs already! I was totally stoked! I hadn't had any, um, movements yet, and knew I was still swollen, so I was really happy to see that # of 190 on the scale! Also, my stomach was a little sunken in around my belly button. It has been hard/round/pushed out for so long that I had almost forgotten I used to have an "innie". I was so happy that day and grateful I had done this. Now back at home, I have added a protein shake in each day, per my nutritionist. My cals per day I estimate have gone from approx 500 to approx 750. My tummy (espec naval area) is looking rounded and more firm again rather than sunken in (which had been a lovely sight). And my scale has gone up a lb or so. I have had several BM's (sorry TMI), so feel like that should have helped, if anything, but apparently not. Honestly, I am feeling pretty low and am not sure what to do about it. Taking in less calories seems ridiculous as I feel fairly hungry right now (yeah, I know, I didn't expect that either - I fill up quickly, but still have an appetite - my tastes have not changed - and there's definitely some head hunger going on as well). So, I'm not exactly "active" right now bc my tummy is still tender on the left side and near one incision, and I also still have my back and neck pain. Plan to add in more 5-10 min walks per day to help "get my steps in". Sorry, I rambled on again...Just, anyone who can share calorie experiences in the first 1-3 months, espec if you can give some perspective on what your weight and activity level were (for comparison/reference) and if you lost consistently, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

    BC/BS Federal

Thanks, you're in my prayers, it was my prayer when I submitted to my insurance that God placed the needed people in place that would be reviewing my case. I thought i had gotten denied bc my Drs office nor myself had heard anything from my bcbs in over two weeks, so I called to followup. The precertification dept told me that my case had been dismissed for lack of receiving my clinicals. I had to give them the date that tge clinicals were sent in and had been confirmed by bcbs. The pre-cert dept then said I was correct and that they didn't know why It had veen dismissed and that tgey would re-enter my information and submit it for review. It so happened that the original reviewer had the day off and my case was sent to another nurse that approved it the same day that I called. Make sure to ask your doctor if he/she will do a peer-to-peer conversation if you are denied. Please note that being affected mentally by weight complications is a reason for the surgery to be "medically necessary" (as long as the patient is psychologically cleared for the procedure) and some insurance companies will take that into account. Please keep me posted! Excited for you already! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Happy Sunday & Happy New Year's Eve Folks!! Got sleeved on 12/27 {finally} and just returned from MX today. All in all feeling pretty good. Little itching/tenderness at one incision site. No nausea until my 1st protein shake today. Worst pain was actually from the constantly full bladder caused by the non-stop IV drip all night post-op. Once they took that out, oh sweet relief...! But, I digress...On Friday I went back for my leak test. It showed no leaks but they said there were two small areas that looked a little more narrow than the rest. I could see the screen, and yes, I could see what they meant. Below the esophagus, leading to the stomach, were two small areas that were more "gray" than "black" as the rest of the barium filled areas were coming up black. They asked if I was having difficulty taking fluids? I said no, I was taking 2 c of chicken broth per day, almost 2 sugar free popsicles, 1-2 bottles of water, and a bottle of electrolytes (also a small cup of watered down apple juice, at the nurse's recommendation). So yeah, Obviously I was getting my fluids! So he said, no issues at all? Oh, well then I told him I was experiencing gurgling when I swallowed - not severe - not exactly painful, just uncomfortable and a little annoying. He showed me the screen again and said that gurgling was the esophagus trying to push what I consumed down into the pouch and it was gurgling bc it was taking longer than it should, causing some back-up. He showed me on the screen where some of the barium was still sitting in my esophagus and I could see it and also feel the gurgling in my throat a little. He said the area around the stomach/diaphragm was just swollen still and that's what caused the narrowing. He said sometimes they do a steroid injection to help bring the swelling down, but they don't like to do steroids if they don't have to. So, the question was, did I really need the shot or would this get better on its own? I said I would defer to his expertise since I wasn't really sure what to do...I have plenty of experience w/steroids for back pain, but not applied to this situation. So he said they would give me a small dose of the steroid and he felt that should reduce the swelling and open the area up for normal passage. The shot was in the bum (they never tell you that til right before it goes in...), and it did sting for a while. I didn't notice any huge improvement in gurgling right away, but now, two days later, I guess I would say I feel about how I would expect to. There may be a small amount of gurgling if I swallow too much at once, and then too some slight discomfort (or if I have to swallow a pill, bc a few of my meds are time released and can't be crushed, so they said to just take as usual as long as I am able to). I think I'm feeling how I should be feeling at this point, 4 days post-op, but how do I know for sure? I'm back home in PA now, so I hope it's all good.. Just wondering if this is considered stenosis or a stricture, or if those are different things that would happen down the line? Also, has anyone else experienced this and does it sound like this was handled in the proper way and would you feel comfortable at this point if you were me? Just want to check in with some of the vets...

    Late December Sleevers?

Hey everybody I was sleeved on 12/27. My worst pain was the excruciating full bladder all night due to the non-stop IV drip. I was walking up and down the halls twice an hour to use the bathroom, and never felt any relief until I got my IV out the next morning. Thankfully that is over! My largest incision was bleeding a tiny bit while at the surgery center the night of, so they put a ton of band-aids over it (all the others just have surgical glue on the outside, which this one does too but I think too much pressure from getting in/out of bed all night caused a little hole in the glue and led to the light bleeding). Now it itches like crazy and is a little sore with all those band-aids piled on. Supposedly they will come off in the shower, so we'll see. We traveled for my surgery so we were discharged to the hotel the next morning. I was in a bit of a daze for the first 48 hrs. The pain meds helped but weren't strong enough to make me feel "high" so to speak, just felt tired/wired at the same time if that makes sense? We spent most of the time in the room watching movies On Demand, and I remember having a hard time following the plots, LOL. At the hotel, "surgery guests" were provided chicken broth and low sugar popsicles twice per day along with 2 bottles of water. To that I added a bottle of reduced sugar Gatorade or Vitamin Water for my electrolytes and some watered down apple juice for flavor/energy (discharge nurse actually said, "Don't get super freaked out about sugar - I mean don't go crazy, but you NEED a little sugar! Just water down some apple juice or something"). So that helped a lot. I had also taken several packets of the Cream of Chicken flavored soup protein packs with me in case I needed them on the plane. I ended up mixing them with the chicken broth at the hotel since their's was roughly colored water. It added a lot of flavor plus protein, of course. Much more palatable, I found. I actually had to force myself to stop drinking my broth and eating my popsicles before I finished them because I wasn't really feeling a "full" sensation. Just all of a sudden I remembered that I was only supposed to be "wanting" and "needing" a few oz at time. So that was a little disconcerting. Worse was when my husband's burger and fries showed up with room service. I couldn't look at him for a while- I too had issues sleeping on my side, but am now doing ok on my right, surrounded by pillows. Left is still a little tender. Only taking half a pain pill 2x per day now, and that's mostly bc we spent 6 hours sitting at San Diego airport last evening before our 6 hour flight to Philly, which arrived home at 7 this morning. Talk about a long night. I was really freaking out about no food options since I had to dump most liquids before security, but there was a California Pizza Kitchen where my husband got me a small beef barley soup. I only drank the broth, but OMG, it was the best thing ever. I even forgave him for the burger and fries. After boarding the plane last night I crumbled several of my meds into a little cup, dumped them onto my tongue, let them dissolve a little, then washed it down with water. 30 minutes later I was sound asleep and stayed that way for a good 4 hours, which is basically miraculous. So thankful to be home safe and sound. Started my first post-op protein shake this afternoon - that was my first experience with slight nausea so far, but I am definitely looking forward to good things to come here the next few weeks as the body gets back to normal. Congrats to all my fellow "Late Dec Sleevers"! Good luck everyone ~ Let's do this!!

    BC/BS Federal

Hello, I have BCBS as well. I had a sleeve gasterectomy in spring of 2015 and had no issues getting approved. In spring of 2017, my original surgeon and I saw that a full duodenal switch was needed for the absorption component so yhe process for approval began again...EGD, psychological evaluation, PCP visits and approval etc. Since BCBS only covered one bariatric procedure per lifetime, The situation with the second surgery is that it needed to be proven to be medically necessary and that I had been compliant with the sleeve gasterectomy in 2015. After the completion of my tests and visits, my package was submitted to my insurance company. As you guessed it, DENIED. I knew I had to act quickly since it was denied in the fall, this meant my deductibles has been met and in order to not have to pay them again in 2018, I needed to try to push for approval before 2017 ended. I knew that the appeal could take longer than I would need and after what decision I would be given, I would either have to have the surgery in 2018(deductible) or have to start the process from the beginning. Although I was frustrated about the denial, I decided to start doing what I knew to do, fight. You see I work for a medical insurance provider and advocate daily for members to receive the care that is needed, be it from physicians or the insurance company. I had assisted many members before in getting various approvals for different treatments that was needed to better their life. I went over all the things that I knew a review board and medical director would want to see/know before granting me a 2nd opportunity. Upon doing this I realized that my surgical team did not fit my needs this time around and to appeal the initial denial would be pointless since the evidence/tests needed for the insurance approval were not done by my original surgeon. I did additional research and found a surgeon in Texas that was well credentialed, accepted my insurance and also did initial appointments by phone since I was a patient from another state. After reviewing ALL of my medical history that was sent to him and discussing the prior denial, we forged forward. After phone 'visits' I was scheduled for an EGD with this doctor along with a 3 part stress test(breathing, legs and heart to check for clotting and exercise)...during the EGD I was also given a ultrasound of the gallbladder. This doctor was extremely thorough and was making sure that I was given every possible chance for the insurance to not deny me. When the package was submitted after all of the tests, I made sure to tell my insurance coordinator at the surgeons office additional things I wanted included such as my fitness gym contract, diseased gallbladder ultrasound, receipt from latest pcp appointment(that insurance company didn't show in their records)...I knew I had a better chance at approval if BCBS saw that not only was I being compliant but that I needed a cholesctomy(gallbladder removal) and that I would pursue the 2nd surgery until it was granted. With the cost of treating my comorbities, I'm sure the insurance saw that it was less expensive to grant the surgery than it was to treat the ailments that existed bc of my weight. By the amazing powers that God put in place, I was granted the second opportunity to change my life. My surgery took place December 14, 2017. Prior to surgery my co-morbidities were high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes(with injections daily), edema in lower extremities. Please don't give up!!! My apologies for the long reply but I hope it helps someone that needs the strength to keep fighting. God Bless! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. So interesting@creekimp13 Im a little past week 4 but and between 559-650 calories. Mainly focusing on getting to 70g of protein and 64oz of fluids. At this stage I can’t eat more without water intake suffering bc really can’t do much more than 3 to 5 oz depending on the food. I’m wondering how to get to 1000. Veggies would get me there. Does she recommend potatoes? Will start working out in a couple of weeks so hopefully can increase food. Not getting enough protein to sacrifice giving up some for other foods.

    Factor Five-Blood Clots

I completely feel you My late husband died from blood cots and preventably so.. When I had my surgery I made sure to ask for blood thinners. I barked when my insurance said they woudlnt cover the cost. I got them but only like 2week supply. So that is what I got.. It's a good question to post here bc I am curious as well. Thank you

    Surgery on 12/28

I had my surgery on dec. 28 as well. I’ve been in a good amount of pain. Been taking my Norco and phenegan every 4 hours. I have the stabbing under my right breast. My doctor said that suture would hurt the mist bc that’s where he had to pull my stomach. Maybe the same with you. Speedy recovery!
  21. My personal experience : Had lap band in 2009 lost 75 pounds. I have since gained it back BC eating grilled chicken lettuce apples fruit basically anything healthy gets stuck I vomit (not like regular vomit it’s weird like your food is stuck your spot starts coming back in your mouth any way it’s awful. So u Learn that basically all healthy good foods get stuck but desserts and pastas and milkshakes give u no problems. Now I’m back up the 75 pounds about to have lapband removed and sleeve preformed. I decided on the sleeve as my doctor feels it’s the safest and will help me without all the major risk of gastric bypass

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I'm getting ready for January 3rd! On day 3 of liquids but I feel pretty good bc my nutritionist had me do meal replacements starting with 1 about a month out and 2 about 2 weeks ago. It was more of a gradual process to get me used to it without going hard core liquids on 12/27. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. I would recommend against the lap band. I had a lap band for 10 years. Lost a lot of weight at first but only bc I was vomiting everything I ate. So I learned that I could eat ice cream and other “slider” foods. I couldn’t eat healthy foods bc they would get stuck. I hardly ever felt a restriction, no decrease in appetite, and i regained all of the weight. My surgeon doesn’t even do lap bands anymore either bc they have such a high failure rate and lots of complications. Lap band 10/2007 revised to RNY 12/22/2017 HW 270 SW 263 CW 257

    Opioid Malabsorption

Akitamom1, I can say I understand without any hesitant. I have had many reasons to be on pain medications: I have Fibromyalgia (which I have had for 19years)I had back surgery and now have rods and Cadabra bones in my spine. I have Osteo and Psoriatic arthritis plus the beginnings of Rheumatoid Arthritis. So yes I have been on many medications for them. I have lost some Cognitive due to METHADONE!! I used CDB without much help, I used Marijuana which works some but I can't deal with the hunger. I would be as big as a House in no time!! My Dr. (many years ago) even gave me Marinol (pill form of THC) It didn't work like smoking it. And it cost over $700 a month. Finally, I found a Dr that understood that I was taking TOXIC amounts of Vicodin!! So he gave me FENTYNOL Patches. 50 MGS, I wear my patch for a total of 4 days with changing it on the 4th day so it is good for 3 days. This has helped tremendously!!! Now, my Dr retired and I started seeing a DR that his office recommended. With Oregon having such HIGH ADDICTION issues. The FED'S are cracking down on opiate use. Now my Dr says that she must cross all of her Dits and T'S. She has me do UA's 5 months out of 6 when I see her. She also had me take a UA when I picked up my prescription. Talk about overkill!! So I was asking her what I could do if they take away my Fentynol, she told me that I would be on CYMBALTA. I then told her that since it is legal for Marijuana I would just have to go back on it. She looked at me with those knowing that a am a junkie's eyes!! Then told me this, You don't have that in you now do you? I said NO I HAVEN'T smoke it in years!! What a piece of work!! She should know by now after 5 UA'S that I am clean!! I also confronted her about my chart stating that I was addicted and an addict, she said oh no it doesn't say that, I showed her because I found it on my Patient Portal where you can look up info on your bloodwork and such. Of course, she was busted and she removed it but still!! I agree totally with you, we are treated like we just scored our dope on the corner!! I do want to say that I had the RNY over 4 years ago and it has helped me so much!! Don't toss it away without trying it. If you have any questions to ask me don't hesitate. I am sorry about all you are going thru. HUGS I'm sorry I didn't realize I had responded so many times. It must be all the drugs I am on LOL.
  25. Today I start my pre op diet... Not fun but so excited bc this means I am almost there!!!! only 13 days till surgery!!!
