Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
IndioGirl55 replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Morning Gang... Read last nite when I came to turn the computer off - but needed to get to bed.. Ended up eating popcorn & greek yogurt (w/cream cheese) for dinner - that's all I wanted ;0) - so that's what I ate.. Phyl - I would say we walked for about 3 hrs - you did really well - that was the most that you had walked at the outlets since we have been going - I thought you did VERY well ;0).. What will the pain doc do - Hugs about the back issues - its sure a bitch getting old isn't it - we have all this stuff we want to do - and our stupid bodies are deteriorating My wrist is 7 I think - that's the size bracelets I order ;0) and they are lose - but that's how I like to wear them.. Karla - You are to sweet - We love you .. Yep extended time w/family - Talked to Joseph last night - Kaitlin cleaned up did homework -but he says Melissa is mad at everyone - when she got home the other night she didn't talk to Kaitlin at all.. Didn't deal w/the situation - I think she's depressed - She acted that way when I was up there- she'a always been on the grouchy side (negative) I know that my DS isn't the easiest person to live with - the problem is they are all lazy imho - Joseph says he's staying in Mexico when we go ;0) - he's not coming back lol.. I think her weight (close to 280ish) is dragging her down - then the out of control family - she was on antidepressants a while ago - don't know if she still is.. Well that's their life - I can't do a darn thing about it - but am telling you - I will be on the beach ignoring them if they are too depressing.. Candice - Proud of you for sticking to it !!! -
Anyone tracking JUST protein? How?
lsereno replied to mistysj's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Usually low fat ham. I don't like eggs. Sometimes I eat turkey little smokies, or another type of meat such as turkey or roast chicken. So, at goal, my breakfast is generally a couple slices of low fat ham, a slice of whole wheat bread or oats (1/4 cup cooked with 3/4 c. Water), And later either yogurt with berries or a soy latte. Sometimes I eat cold Cereal with soy milk instead of the other grains and dairy, but not very often. Lynda -
yes, i found them @target in the frozen food section - good option rather than making them  which can be time consuming. i make them w/ground chicken or turkey / shredded cabbage, carrots, green onion & hoison sauce. i use wonton wrappers, steam - then freeze in bulk. i take out when wanting a few, pan sear them & use a dipping sauce (i like a spicey tai version or dim sum sauce) nutritional value for 5 off the top of my head is around 200 calories & 12g of protein. i'm sure its' posted a few pages back. yesterday - b- 5.3oz honey greek yogurt s- half tuna wrap l- other half tuna wrap s- ostrich jerky stick d- half chille relleno, few bites of refried beans

I bought one RTD muscle milk today. I bought the powder before, but I wasn't able to get the powder right. I love my jiff too. I will just eat a spoon when I want something sweet. Unfortunately, that happens too often for the amount of calories in it.:bored: I am hoping that I really like the powdered enough to keep buying it. Today- B-coffee w/stevia, strawberry yogurt, bacon S-string cheese L-McCafe mocha (on liquids after adjustment) D-warm V-8 juice

Janet, thanks for the suggestions. I need to get some deli meat, I think that will be agood idea. Anything 'creamy' (yogurt) seems to be giving me hell. AND I agree, it is the dehydration. This summer I drank at least 40 oz of water a day, now I am lucky if it is 8. So back to figuring out how to go about getting in the fluids. Linda, glad the surgery went well. Yep, babies are for young people. I don't know how some of these ladies have babies in their late 40's. I'll let you all know how the dr. appt goes, TTFN -

Highest weight 254 12/4 started preop diet 244 12/17 surgery 234 Current weight 204 I'm in a stall but okay with it. At least I'm not gaining and food doesn't control my life in the way it did. I actually finding it difficult to find anything that I enjoy eating. Greek yogurt is the only thing that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. But I really don't enjoy eating anymore. It is more of a check mark on my to do list. I wonder if that will change. -
Sunday is my freebee day.. I take the kids to McDonald's after church.. B: Protein Shake L: meat/cheese from a double cheeseburger tea D: 98% ff hamburger with baked beans orange slices S: FF peach yogurt ( I don't eat any bread, it doesn't work with my band and I learned that fries and my band aren't friends either, that's a good thing!!)

Anyone in the South Shore MA area need a buddy?
Crystal Leigh replied to Crystal Leigh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol thanks! This definitely put a smile on my face even though a lot of what you just said kind of scares the crap out of me! I LOVE myself some dunkies and or marylous! I recently started doing the sugar free shots not swirls and skim milk or sugar free creamer at home.. (They have me starting to get ready for what life's going to be like after surgery) everything I a huge change. I'm doing pretty good so far. Can I express how proud I am of myself for a moment? 1. I drank Mountain Dew faithfully for 12 years I'm talking 24 packs in a day! I've been Mountain Dew clean for almost 4-5 months now! I drink only Water and one coffee a day! Forced myself! I can't imagine it any other way now! 2. I have been a smoker since I was 6 years old (discussing I know! I have older nephews so if I smokes with them they knew I couldn't snitch on them!) I couldn't inhale until I was 8 but either way.. I'm 30 now.. I haven't had a cigarette in a week now!!! I don't even really care! That's the shocking part! I think I'm to concerned with my eating to think about smoking lol 3. I used to lay in bed and feel sorry for myself not move at all. Hence being almost 400lbs at one point I've been moving more even little things I have stairs that lead up to the bathroom... I so ten push-ups off the stairs before I can pee lmao and I have three kids all under 5 so.. Enough said there. I do jump and jacks with my 4 year old ( or what I consider to be jump and jacks ) I have cheated on this diet a little bit but when I've cheated it's been two extra pieces of celery or an extra scoop of low fat Greek yogurt.. Not an extra bowl of Pasta with extra sauce and bacon and chicken like used to. I'm proud of me Thank you for listening to my rant and thanks for all the advice!! I'm going crazy over here cuz I don't even know if they are going to give me a date yet! I'm still waiting! All I know is they put me on this diet and she said it's what I will be on for the rest of my life after surgery basically (minus the time I'm on the liquid diet) I just want a date now! I need to know!! I think I'm more nervous not knowing if I will get a date... I need this! I need to live and stick around for my kids! -
Yesterday wasn't a great day food wise.. lol b: 6 oz yogurt L: 2 bites frito lay casserole s: 100 calorie pack almonds s: 6 oz yogurt s: 100 calorie pack m&M d: 1/2 spaghetti w/ meat sauce very very little spaghetti, couple bites of salad s: 1/2 cup of nilla wafer banana pudding (made with fat free milk and low fat sour cream and low fat whip cream) but still not a great choice but sooo yummy.. I thought it was a terrible day but once I figured the calories it was TERRIBLE bad maybe but not TERRIBLE!

Post Op June 2014 Sleevers
tiredmama replied to KimGettingSlim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow will be 3 weeks for me. I am on purees for another 10 days. It is definitely getting boring and I am a vegetarian so that makes it even more restrictive. Lots of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta. I still need 2 shakes a day to meet my protein goal. I have noticed that I am able to handle slightly thicker textures now- still no big or solid chunks but I have "graduated" from baby food applesauce to regular applesauce! -
Hey guys - thanks. Yeah. I've been eating crap foods... chips, cookies, etc. Though I have laid off of the ice cream lately. Lol. Today I sorta got back on track - started with protein shake and vitamins... had yogurt and then broccoli for lunch.. but after work I remembered I still had about 1/3 bag of sour cream and onion chips and ate those... and dipped into a canister of choc cake icing. I need an intervention. I need to be rich and famous so I can have a trainer come drag me out of bed and kick my ass all day everyday. I need to remind myself WHY I had surgery in the first place. Since this gain, I look at my scars and wonder what I did to myself. I do not regret the band at all... I LOVE my band! I just wonder why I thought it was going to be so easy... and this past year has probably been the hardest ever (food wise.) IF and WHEN i eat 'right' my fill is great. They REALLY need to come up with a sugar/chocolate proof band. Lol. And no... I haven't been exercising. At all... not walking, going to the gym, or riding. I have all of the typical excuses... busy, hot, raining... but really... my gym is indoors, air conditioned, and open 24 hours - which is against every single one of my 'excuses'... so basically I'm just lazy. I s.w.e.a.r. I was going to walk this evening, but after the chips and icing I felt self defeated and generally sad. And it was like 95 out and very humid. So, go ahead. Kick my ass. Please. I get paid on Friday - when I go to the store I will buy NOTHING but fruits and veggies and other various healthy bandster friendly foods. ANd I"ve re-commited to doing protein shakes and taking my vitamins daily, which I hadn't done in months!

Me too! I went out to eat and then saw "Australia". I liked it, but boy it is long. Anyway, I did not lose, but didn't gain either. I have been going throught alot of stress.....my mother was in the hospital for seven days....got out on monday....they went back in wednesday with chest pain. We got her out yesterday. I pb'd yesterday on Yogurt with fruit. I think it was stress. I am fine today. I went shopping at 6am this morning. Carter's had 60% off everything in the store and I also had a 20% coupon. I have a 4month old grand daughter and expecting a grandson in April. I loaded up on clothes. I too, am grateful for all of my LBT peeps. I don't think I would have stayed on track without all of you. THANK YOU! -
Oh I eat oatmeal (thick) with yogurt an protien powder inthe morning. Beans and sometimes salad at lunch Dinner is either more oatmeal and yogurt again or tofu or soy protien with vegetables. I eat the same things over and over. I figured it would help me loss but no go. Oh did I mention my TOM is three weeks late and I am extremely bloated and swollen? I keep thinking anyday but it will be going on four weeks tomorrow...........but also terrible migraines the last week which is a TOM thing for me usually...........can't figure out why I skipped TOM last month..........If I wasn't 100% sure i wasn't pregnant I would suspect it...........cause my body is seriously out of wack right now..........if I could start maybe I could drop a few pounds.........but everything I eat or drink sticks to me right now........sore and grumpy and way to tired the last few weeks. The water thing is about 80-100 ounces a day but that isn't helping either. Exercise 3 times a week for 45 minutes. I have accepted with my work and home responsibilities that is gonna be it. I wanted to get in 5 days a week but not gonna happen. Just get discouraged so now I am gonna be ok with three days.......... So updates tomorrow. I am hoping that they will give me a break after I tell Dr. Baggs what is going on or that next month I can get a 2cc fill. LOL. I will email Dr Baggs tomorrow and update him. I want to see what his opinion is and what he thinks has to be done......... My options are be hungry and just tough it out on my own for or just be fine being under 200.........I am getting lots of compliments and feel ok where I am at.......I let Dr. Baggs know I was sorta tired of jumping through hoops. If that is how it is than I will just do my own thing and call him later if I lose the weight and get another appointment...........I am done playing the earning game all the time to much stress for me...........sorta tired of it and the attitude. I already told Dr. BAggs at the last appointment so he knows where I am at...........I will tell Robin tomorrow. I can't keep going to the doctors appointments ever month my workers comp time is up and I will have to start taking vacation days after this month. I need to be more on a 3-4 month schedule for fills I have been going once a month for ten months now. I also might get laid off in March so I am sorta just done I think with fills for awhile.................I plan to let Robin know tomorrow.
