Lol I just asked about the term NSV on my fitness pal I didn't know what it meant either. Congrats on the pants it is a wonderful feeling when my 24s looked terrible and wouldn't stay up I went shopping too to my amazement I went to a 18 and then a week later I wish I would have tried the 16 so I put on a belt and today when I put them on ...I think I'm ready for a new pair again I def love the NSVs cause the scale hasn't been giving me much love. On another note does anyone know how many mcg of biotin you are supposed to take daily to help with hair loss? -

Okay I had a NSV today. My size 24w jeans are way way too big. So I went to get another pair same brand (gloria Vanderbilt). I took 22's and 20's into dressing room. The 22's fit. The waist was a teeny bit loose. I put the 20's on and they fit like a glove. I was doing the happy dance, I couldn't believe it. What a great feeling. A great ending to an awesome day! I hate going by what others have lost! I feel like I don't add up or maybe I've done more than others. It's a weird feeling. I did have a TOTAL NSV today. I had to go buy a new dress for dinner tonight since all of mine were too big. Well- I bought a new dress and it is a wait for it- size 12! What?! This girl in a 12!!! Woo hoo!

I've been in a stall for a few weeks, so I've been feeling kind of bummed. I went out of town to visit an old friend last week. To my absolute joy and amazement, I was able to fit comfortably in the airplane seat AND I didn't have to ask for a belt extender! I was actually able to tighten the belt a little! That hasn't happened in years. Also, this is the first trip I've taken that didn't revolve around food. I was able to spend quality time with my friend without obsessing about what I was going to eat or how soon I could get back to my hotel and order room service. I had a great time! I'm going to start focusing on my NSVs instead of some stupid little digital number from now on. Thanks for reading this post!

shandytx83 welcome its always nice to get new blood in the neignborhood 83 lbs lost - WooHoo telling/seeing you have lost weight,, old clothes don't fit anymore??? getting rid of your "big" clothes - buying new smaller sized clothes is quite a committment thats a great NSV (non scale victory as we fondly call it!!) kindof like "out" with the old - "in" with the new!! many people buy clothes in their transition period at goodwill - then you are not spending lots of money on clothes you won't be wearing long you being 5' you probably want to lose another 40 lbs??? you can't wake up dailty being afraid that you are going to "mess" up eat something wrong - gain the weight back you are 6 months post op losing 83 lbs - still wanting to lose weight - don't think about gaining, don't worry about the future concentrate on "today", continue your great work try and drink more Water, that is important you said - "trying really hard its not easy every day its a new start" every day is NOT easy - you are right there are days that are more challenging than others corny, but if one day you slip, pick yourself up and start again do your "best" thats all you can do i can see you are working really hard putting one foot in front of another you are awesome!!!!! take care nice to meet you keep up the good work congrats on your success -
SIX WEEKS ALREADY! HW: 273 SW: 250 LW- 233.6 CW: 232.6 About 40lbs down from my highest weight, about 18lbs down since day of surgery. Hoping I get somewhere near 230 by my 8 week update.... Not gonna talk about how annoyed I am by how slow this is going. Non Scale Victories- As you all know I hit my goal of 20 miles of walking in January. I am going to leave the goal the same for February and add a few days of Turbo Fire, the Fire 30 work out. It’s pretty fun and burns a lot of calories. I have also been getting LOTS of comments on my apparent weight loss, so that feels good. I was thinking about going to pick up a couple of pairs of pants this weekend but……….I think I have talked myself out of it. I don’t know, I just feel like if I went, I would be disappointed and I just can’t really take that right now. My mom suggested I go TO the store and try them on and I said, why so I can have a proper breakdown in public in the changing room? NAWL. So we’ll see. I might and I might not, depending on how small I feel when I get up and get going tomorrow.

How did it go? That's a great NSV! -
My daughter asked me to go to the shopping mall with her yesterday. I hesitated, thinking, "nope, not able to do this". Well, I, decided to give it a try. Have n't been in the mall, let alone able to walk around one in more than three years. I did it! We had so much fun!!! Loving life, loving my sleeve, loving me!!! P.S.- Think I'll start posting my NSV's on my fridge, to keep motivated!

Dec. 17 Sleevers - How are you on week out?
Smokey12 replied to sars's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just contacted my nutritionist about my 4 week stall. She said it was normal at this point to hit a stall, and keep doing what I'm doing. I does stink that the scale is not moving though. A NSV, I am off one of my BP meds, and I feel much better when I walk thru the terminals at the airport, I'm not as winded as I used to be. -
Hello All, Sorry, it's been awhile but I've been trying to read and keep up as posts come through. I hit 1yr on 1/17 I saw my nutritionist on 1/22. She said from 'our' first appointment I'm down 58 pounds. Wow, what a thrill. I went in for a fill on Friday 1/25 and oddly enough my appetite is off the charts high.. then I realized duhh stop eating and drink water between meals.. boom! down to 188 I thought the scale was broke! lol I'm still running upto about 12-14 miles per week (Weather permitting) jogging all the way! So, yes Ladybandito, every pound means a whole lot... Congratulation to all the newly banded, Olympic Training, Getting off Meds and all the other NSV's ladies..the band work for us because we work for the band. My doctor was telling how people still just think the band is a magic solution and try to live life as they did before being banded. My co-workers all call me "Skinny-Minnie" now but 1 lady said (who knows about my band) "I see you running and in your gym clothes everyday and eating healthy", you are doing well it's all you and a tiny bit 'the band'. That was a wonderful thing to say cause it proves I've changed my life and I made the band work for me! Good Job ladies, we aren't perfect and we slip often but we try and we succeed and we get up when we fall....Newbies, you may fall on your journey just remember to get back up and you'll do great!! the hardest part isn't falling it's getting back up.. this group of ladies was always here with encouragement, suggestions and advise that was a valuable part of my journey! so newbies, stick with this supportive group..you'll never regret it.

Who is scheduled for Jan 8th? I'm getting nervous
emeraldeye replied to 2013isit's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi all.....happy Three weeks! I am not hungry upon waking and generally not hungry at all and sometimes force myself to eat to get needed protein and calories! BUT.....today I was starving on my start of my journey home from work, and had to stop at Giant anyway for a protein shopping trip and Lofthouse cookies for my daughter's birthday tomorrow and after walking around the store...back and forth because I couldn't find the quinoa and long story short, didn't feel hungry anymore. Got home and had a quarter of a small microwaveable sweet potato and some cottage cheese. My stomach hates food since I switched calcium meds.....I was on the lovely bariatric advantage caramel chews and I went cheap and got citrate chewable wafers from Vitamin world.....never again. Killed my appetite or what I had left of it! They are chalky and sort of like really bad TUMS! I ordered a huge batch and put it on auto delivery for the chews on Sunday.....so, hoping they are here SOON! So daughter's birthday is tomorrow and am so glad that the Lofthouse cookies are not tempting AT ALL! Go me! I guess that is a "NSV"! I will let you know after tomorrow! Lol! ( ps....I have willpower with this sleeve!) Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Less of a basketcase...NSV this past week :)
triciavr77 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I've had to do some journaling to stop and change perspective. Instead of focusing on what's ahead of me, to focus on what's happening today and what I've done this week. 1) Stopped drinking alcohol and I have only wanted to have a drink last night when **** hit the fan at home. 2) Stopped drinking soda and didn't miss it, crave it or anything. 3) Have gotten better about watiting at least 30 min between eating & drinking fluids 4) Consistenly getting about 68 oz of fluids each day 5) Reduced my caffiene intake (on 1/2 caff, not extra bold) coffee. I had caffeine withdrawal one day, and I've been fine since 6) Started exercising each day on my bike at home. 7) Started logging my food again and wearing my fitbit 8) Writing in my journal daily about EVERYTHING! That's a lot ot accomplish and I'm just gonna focus on this for today! -
