My personal goal is 145. My PCP would be very happy if I was 180. I've got a ways to go to get to ONEderland. I weighed in at 222 this morning and I only lost 3 lbs this month. I'm frustrated over the slow weight loss but at least I'm losing. My PCP does not think I'm losing enough per month but my surgeon feels I'm doing well. My vitals are all excellent not just good but excellent. My cholesterol count is in ONEderland, it used to be 215, my sugar is good and even got taken off of diabetic medicine. My heart rate is 70 and my BP is like 113/70, so my health has improved immensely. So that's a NSV I'm proud of. Now if I could just get in ONEderland with my weight lol!

Ok I feel like a total failure today. I'm lightheaded Yesterday I felt great!! Today I am right back to the light headedness When does this get better? I am going to look into the vertigo meds that were suggested the other day, but I was soo happy yesterday, I felt absolutely wonderful! I woke up feeling great, ate some cottage cheese, then boom... the vertigo/light headedness sets in. SMDH.. Ugh! But on the plus side...kinda, My shorts are usually very snug, but yesterday I could pull them off and on without even unbuttoning them! I was like YEAAAAH!! So this morning I figured I would hop on the scale (after my bm of course) to see what happiness the scale was going to show..... NOT. A. DAMN. CHANGE. I know, I know. This is an NSV. Before the shorts were snug on me and I had to unbutton them to go to the bathroom, now I can just ''pull them down'' and they are loose. That is a good thing, and yes you can lose inches without losing weight. I know that. It's just frustrating because I feel I hardly eat ANYTHING and it's not showing where I want it to. I think I am going to go back to using myfitnesspal so I can keep track of how many calories I am eating. Oh and to top it off, we have no water in our house. The city that I live in decided that we have a leak somewhere in my neighborhood and shut the water off. No warning, no nothing. Just don't flush!! Boy I am just a ray of freaking sunshine this morning huh? I will try to amend this post this evening with something positive that's happened today... but until them BLAH!

First NSV for me! I bought a pair of 7s for all mankind capris last year and promptly grew out of them. They fit now. Starting to really feel the difference. More motivated than ever!

How about some NSVs!?!?
terry1118 replied to shyanne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My very first NSV! I've been living in the same two loose dresses for the last two weeks due to incisions and rash. I go back to work tomorrow and have to wear real clothes again, so I just went upstairs to figure out what I'm wearing. All my 2x are too big and my 1x fit!!!!! (I had dragged out my 1x clothes a few weeks ago in anticipation of losing.) So I bagged up the big stuff and put them in my car - I'll dump them in the donation box on the way to work. So NOT sorry to see them go! :-) :-) :-) :-) -
Hi guys! Another NSV- this is me in my new size 14 Cue jacket I got on sale from Myer (70% off- woot)!! I had just said to my mum on the drive to Toowoomba that this was my next goal I need a new one lol

So I ran into a friend I have not seen in about a year and she told me she didn't recognize me because I was so tiny. I have never been called tiny!!!! I'm only 2 months post op and have lost 40 lbs, so I still have a long way to go, but this just made my day. The scale means nothing. It's about how you look and feel. Here's to many more victories!

CONGRATULATIONS! what does NSV stand for?

This is a weird one, but I can link it directly to the surgery. I used to bite my nails. I had gotten it a bit under control, but still had issues. Now I'm not biting my nails, because I don't want to accidentally swallow a sharp bit and maybe hurt my sleeve!

NSV today on my 1 yr Bandiversary

Congratulations on your bandiversary and NSV! Keep up the good work! -
I have none this morning, the most exciting thing I have done this morning was download the blogger app to my phone. I do not want to get out of bed, I do not want to go ''start the day''. I think it started yesterday, wait, actually yesterday I had motivation. I got up, took a nice long shower and felt so wonderful!! I went to the Dr. too. Got cleared off bed rest, got cleared to drive, found out when I could start exercising, when I can start water aerobics, and got cleared off the clear liquid diet I think its a little soon, but I have introduced yogurt and last night I introduced soup...YES SOUP. I had chicken and potato soup, bullet'ed, strained, and 1/2 cup. OMG it was soo good, I was full but gassy the rest of the night so I think I am going to reign it back in some and stick with the yogurt and some blander foods before going back to a richer soup again. I slept good last night! Which is a big plus. I have avoided the scale. When I went in to see the Dr. yesterday I didn't look on the scale to see what it says, I don't wanna know yet. I think I want to concentrate on NSV (Non Scale Victories) before I start stressing over what the scale says. My fingers feel thin today, I know that sounds strange but my fingers don't feel swollen I guess is a better way to say it. Well the chickens and Ducks wait for no woman so I am going to get up and get moving. Hope everyone has a great day!! Write tomorrow.

Considered a BIG NSV for me!
Spaness2012 replied to Spaness2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For those ladies who just found out what an NSV is.......for me, it's a much better measure of my efforts than the dreaded scale. I get so excited with the small realizations. Like when a normal size towel fit around me, when I could tie my shoes without being breathless, when I could fit in small chairs I otherwise would have avoided, etc. Make sure you are paying attention to the small stuff. The small stuff really gets you through the hurdles! Yay us! -

Silly me but what is an NSV? And I am pretty sure I can't wait for one -
Had a nice lunch with my mom and then we hit the mall, oh my, it had been a while since I had been shopping and boy was it fun. Ended up in a regular department store, plus size section but regular department store and purchased size 1X shirts, I was so excited. This time last year I was wearing size 26/28 and they were tight and 3X's were beginning to get tight. I still have big arms so I buy 3/4 length sleeves plus I stay cold all the time anyway year around so it doesn't bother me but these shirts were super duper cute. Just had to share. thx.

Super NSV! Rock on! -
Today I took the kids to Busch Gardens (here in Tampa) as they are kicking off their summer vacation. I have not been here in about a year. The last time I was here, I no longer could fit in a rollercoaster and was mortified, appalled, and embarrassed. So were my children. This was my rock bottom! TODAY...I not only fit in the coasters....I had plenty of room to spare! We spent all day walking the park with very little effort or exhaustion. I hardly thought about food all day. I never had any anxiety about my knees hurting, my back aching, or my feet swelling up. I was having the time of my life! Last year, all I wanted to do was lose enough weight to fit in a rollercoaster...that's it...a simple request. If I go by this measure of success...I am there! I am a success story!! I still want to lose more weight....and I will set small goals along the way. But today...I am here....I am successful...and my kids think I am a rock star!!

I just got home from my three month appointment and it looks like I will officially become a loser towards the end of July! I am pretty pumped up. I cant wait to start seeing some NSVs. This fall I am going to sit in a tree stand while hunting and not praying that the 300lb weight limit on the stand was just a suggestion. So far my biggest worry is the drain tube and catheter. But it will be worth it!

NSVs are great ANY time of day!

I was sleeved July 9, 2012. And down 105 lbs. I was watching TV with my 4 Year old niece and they were advertising exercise equipment. They showed a woman holding up her old huge pants and Anna said like Cynthia.
