yes, I have huge breasts and I have lost alot of size in them. I was probably in an H before and now can wear a 42DD That's the good part, the bad part is that I lose the fat in them, but not the skin so they are hanging lower. I am going to look at a breast reduction since my insurance will probably cover it, but want to wait until I've lost most of my excess weight so that they won't droop afterwards.

Hi! My name is Jeana. I noticed that our start weight was about the same. I was 377 lbs. Now at 319. Banded 08/2008. I'm really having a tough time loosing any more weight. I'm often hungry and don't have much restriction. If I get another fill, I end up with terrible acid reflux. Any suggestions? Thanks so much. Jeana

Hey girl! I am doing pretty good. I just ran my first 3K last weekend and I think I am going to work for a 5K in September. I am running about 2 miles a day about 5 times a week or so and I hit the gym about 3-4 times a week when I'm not traveling with my job. I feel pretty good. I am still about 20 lbs up from my lowest, but I am in pretty good shape. Trying to watch my caloric intake to lose slowly instead of keeping my carbs super low. I don't think I will ever be happy until I have PS to take the extra skin off (bad apron in front IMHO) and perk the girls up. The TT is a big priority but with other things going on I just can't afford it right now. Hopefully in a year or two. I am so glad to hear things are going so well for you. Funny how the first 9 months I lived on the boards but we have all kind of found our way back into a life where the band is a part of normal living and not something to take up every last waking thought.

I will be posting more this summer on a blog and on here, this is the greatest encouragement I have found! After surgery walk, walk, walk, do as your Dr.'s instruct and you will do fine, totally serious it seems like one day I was huge and then I wasn't, i did not loose any weight for 4 months and still went down 3 pants sizes, the only exercise I do is walk 30-45 min. a day 4-5 times a week, high protien diet at least 75 grams prot. a day.

Today is 3 days post op. I am not sure about the restriction but I know I am not having any problem staying within calorie restriction to loose weight. That is night.

Before my surgery I had lost 13pounds. Im excited and hoping to loose more considering on a two week liquid diet and all. Tomorrow I will be going to the gym to slowly work my way back to the workout I was doing before the surgery (4 1/2)miles. Glad you took the time to enjoy your family and I'm sure that it was much appreciated you cleaning and cooking while you were off!! Each day I'm feeling better, but can't wait for my stomache to go down from being blown up! Just doesn't seem like its happening as fast as I would like it to because I feel like I'm pregant with it still being kinda of big! Talk to you later! Thanks

Hi Molly.
How have you been doing these past days? managing?
Me not so much. I'm actually starting to doubt myself, thinking that the surgery will out of all ppl not work on me.
I actually posted about it. Hopefully my doubts are clearing up, and I will loose weight. I hope.
Hope your doing well.

I go in for my first fill on Monday the 13th. I am glad to get it done because it is too easy to just eat like I used to, I mean the quantity of each meal. It almost seems like I was able to loose when I was drinking protein shakes and no food and now the weight loss has slowed considerably. I still try to only drink a shake for breakfast and add frozen fruit to the blender. It does help to read that other May banders losses are comparable to mine.
Hope you get your fill soon.

Good Luck to you, I am 6 days post-op, like you i was so proud of weight i lost prior to surgery-when you have so much to loose (starting pt 385) it was just to daunting, but knowing if i could loose 20 I could have this done gave me the push i needed. I got down to 384 before surgery and haven't weighed in yet-so far this is super harder than I thought it would be, ah, i want to chew something-even if it healthy. I'm on full-liquids right now, it's tough, but worth it, keep in touch-i'm new to the board, this is my first post-g/l on the 15th

How intense was your tt? Did your doc touch only your skin or your muscles too? My doc seems to think I can have a tt and go back to work after a few days. I usually dont take time off for surgery ( even my band surgery). I always go back to work not even 2 days post op. I am thinking I can stay home a max of 4 days before having to go back to a desk sitting job. In your experience what do you have to say?

Hello everyone. I'm looking into having lap band surgery and I'm using this site to see real results good and bad. I've read somethings that have triggered questions. Hope you can help. I'm 5'7 280 lbs - I carrier most of my weight in my stomach. If the surgery works I'm worried I will have a bunch of hanging skin. How many of you have gotten a tummy tuck and did your insurance cover the surgery? Also some people said they were disbanded due to erosion. How long does the band work? and does insurance cover the cost to remove or replace the band?

Hey there! Yeah I'm trying to slay the beast alright!lol! I went today to the dr and got .50cc filled so now I have a total of 4.5cc! Somehow I'm loosing 2pounds each week at the dr office so I should be down 27 pounds I think. I'm going to the gym tom and hopefully will know by the exact ounce where I'm at. Its amazing how the gym and the Dr office are two totally different numbers! How are you doing?

Hi,
Sorry...been a long time since I've been on here. I have lost only 55lbs since surgery. I was 289 before surgery and am at 233 now. I am sort of disappointed because the Dr. tells me that, that is a little slow...but I also have to admit I haven't been following all the rules either. I just cannot find a protein that appeals to my taste buds....they all make me nauseaous (sorry for the misspelling). So, how are you now? Did you meet your goal yet? Do you have a lot of lose skin or any advise on how to keep it tight? Any advise on anything? I need all the help I can get. Not sure how to move this along. I work out at the Gym 3 times a week for an hour ... but I don't do protein drinks and don't drink much water.

Hey Dannygirl. Long time no "see." lol Havent reached my goal. Still struggling with those darn last 10 lbs. I have always heard that the last ten were the hardest to loose and now I know that that expression is OH SO TRUE. Hopefully I will be there before long. Wish me luck.
