* DH has allowed me 3 days to gloat, smirk, laugh, giggle, throw a parade & buy a new house warming present for his parents. the good karma is their moving an hr from my parents and i should sick my mom on them.....LOL TPG - go back 2 - 300 pages ago w/MIL dramz (especially around christmas time). * diva - i can only use the shappers every other time, i was getting charlie horses in my calf/toes. bought more bananas just in case:) * ebony - hope you find some fab 14 shorts. there are some GREAT sales going on, i hit dillards yesterday real quick - and to buy off the rack not try on and pay nothing was the biggest NSV so far. * KC, again i would like to thank you for the doggie treats. i have been spoiling the dogs w/them & DH even tried one today; he said you can cook for him anytime.

Congrats Brenda :clap2::clap2::clap2: Well I can tell you the band works... I am down 36.5 - I feel so much better - in fact a girl friend remarked that i was walking faster.. I am getting tons of compliment - 90% of my clothes are too big - I have a few items i can were - but not much - infact tomorrow hope to go buy some new bras - was wearing 42 C and think now I'm a 38.. Great NSV. Even at lunch today when I was starving looking at the menu with old eye and old tummy - i ordered a taco, enchallda and beans - had a few chips while waiting for food - it came and I was only able to eat the taco :phanvan- I will have the echallda (sp) and beans for dinner - still not healthy choice - should have had chievac (sp) tosadas - but for the last 3 months I have been eating great 98% of the time so - dont think it will kill me - I also walked 3.5 mph for 50 mins - 3 miles... -

Had another NSV this morning. I have been weighing on the Wii Fit plus scale to keep track of my progress and my goals. Well this morning my BMI went below 35 and I did not max out the obese chart on the Wii. What a good feeling. I was sleeved 1/9. Highest weight 12/26 302, surgery weight 282, weight this morning 244. Feeling great. I think making sure you get your protein and water and making it to the gym at least 5 times a week is the secret. Even my wife is losing and she did not have the surgery. This was the best decision I ever made. Another sidebar-- my daughter is getting married 6/15/2013. I told my wife I would be at my weight that I was when we got married ( june 7 1980) of 210 lbs and asked her if she would be at her marrying weight. She game me the evil eye and said I was cheating!!! -

Miss a few days & miss lots of fabulousness. Love that skirt & tweed jacket @AngieBear & I can’t wait to see you looking glamorous at your gala @Sophie7713. Congrats on your nsvs @november11 - looking good. I love spots & stripes too @kristieshannon. Big love to @AngieBear & @Sophie7713 promoting self worth. Sadly, making judgements about others based only on how they look is becoming endemic in society. I put my hand up shamefully & admit to have done it too. Worse that, in a previous life I taught 11/12yr old girls & would push individuality, resilience, self confidence & respecting others. Went to see my surgeon today. Bought the dress about 6wks ago & it’s a little big now. Those 2.5kgs I unintentionally lost have dropped me down a dress size (pity party thread followers know of my pain).

Trip to therapist today. P.S. Had an NSV this week at doctor's. The nurse used the regular blood pressure cuff on me without giving it a second thought AND it worked!!😊

Well, Tracy, you must be right about the GV jeans because i just went to Dillards to find some dress pants to wear to my parties this year. I took 5 pair in the dressing room....all size 16's (which used to be reliable)....but they were ALL too big! So I ended up with size 14 (Jones NY) that fit perfectly. However, i am wearing my Spanx today so that had a lot to do with it, I'm sure....and as a general rule I don't buy tight jeans....just comfy. The GV jeans have just the right amount of stretch in them. SO! I had a NSV today!!....and I haven't had one of those in a helluva long time! -

Happy Sunday Evening Violets. Judy: I belly laughed when I read your rated x post! You crack me up! and also WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!! major NSV. I did good at the family reunion yesterday.. I did eat some high calorie stuff, but I only ate one plate and the overall portion was a nice real life size..... the bad thing is that I did not drink ANY water yesterday I drank too much diet dr pepper.. (MY doc gave back soda on June 4)..... after so long of not drinking it I really haven't missed it, but yesterday I realized that it can not replace my water habbit...... Today I ate taco fixings without the shell for lunch and had some vanilla icecream with a few strawberries... I haven't ate anything since 2p and I'm trying to just drink water for the rest of the night.. so that I loose my bounced pound... my goal is to get into the 230's this week... and if I'm good I know it is attainable........ Denise you are doing so good woman.. as my band twin and now even a fill twin I watch your progress like a hawk..... I know that if I did as much exercise as you that I would not be lagging so far behind.... Great job everyone! -

Hi everyone! I went and got .5 added. I am now at 1.5 and right now I am starving! I have to do mushies today & tomorrow. I had not "lost" any of my last fill but she said it was more than likely due to the weight loss making the band loose. That is what I thought too. She had a harder time finding the port than she normally does, but it still did not hurt, thank GOD! Tracy-so sorry that you are missing the concert. I would give my right arm to go... Michelle-way cool NSV. Feels great, right? Even though I am married, I like those kinds of NSVs. Just because we are on a diet doesn't mean we can't look at the menu, right? LOL Wow, look at all the violets signed on right now....woohoo!! HI EVERYONE!!! I will talk to you all later....need to get to my evening routine w/ dd. -

Kat-I am so sorry that you are hurting!! Surely one of the antibiotics will knock it!! Congrats on the NSV!! Pamela-I loved the show the other night! I am sad that it is almost over too but on the upside, I am a survivor freak too so I will have that to take up my BB space in my heart! :car: Congrats on the -6. That is great and I think you are doing fantastic. Slow & steady is right! Jenn-Keep the faith sister...all will be well soon! The storm went to the east of us. Galveston (where I work) got 5 more inches of rain, but it is all good this morning for me to go back to work. The turn made it go straight to my moms house...I have not spoke with her yet but I will call her as soon as I think she is awake. She probably already is, but I don't wanna take the chance of waking her because she was probably up all night worried. I watched the news and they said that alot of people are out of power this morning and trees are in the streets, but so far they do not see any major structural damage...thank GOD. I had a lump at my baseline screening when I was 35. It dissolved...but was totally scarry. Since then, I have to get one every year! Ladies, if you haven't done it in a while...get the hell off the puter and go make apt. Love ya:kiss2: Michelle!!! Purple power for your ds! TracyK! I'll let you know my fav NSV or SV when I get one:eek:. Actually, my fav SV was 249, but now I live at 251 (for days, before that it was 252). I do know this, yesterday I started my third period in a month! Oh joy! got a busy day (aren't they all?) but I took tomorrow off!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so it is like a Friday! Kity – I know having contractor doing work on your home is very frustrating while it is being done --- hope all turns out great – making it worth the frustrations. Laura – Congrat’s on your NSV today! I don’t know how everyone else feels --- but I get real embarrassed and feel uncomfortable lately when people mention how good I look and carry on about it. I always try to change the subject – which they always try changing it back to me. Laura – you are lucky that he makes you only wait 4 weeks – mine likes to wait 6 weeks. Which I think is way to long. Jenn, NY - I am sorry you are having such a hard time finding a job you enjoy. I wish you lived somewhere close to one of my offices – it is so hard now days to find people who want to work and have a good work ethic. I will keep praying the Dream Job comes to you! Tracy – you have a real special guy there! Wants to shop and complete wish lists. WOW. Enjoy this new attitude in your man. Denise F. – I am not (to date having hair loss issues) but I did when I was on Atkins. It stopped when I got off the diet and started eating protein. Good morning everyone Man o man - the saga of my life continues. dbf forgot to mention that he is going to try to reduce his support because he is not making as much blah blah blah... sell your new bike you just had to get! anyway, other guy who i've mentioned got mad at me a while back and didn't talk to me, well we have been talking as friends and it was his birthday last night. I'm so sick from antibiotics and said I was not drinking... well I did have 2 since on my way out I got the court papers. I was purple from head to toe I was so hurt he didn't tell me. Anyhoo....other guy out of no where tells me that he is madly in love with me and wants to make it work and when I told him I was mental and had lots of issues, he said at least mine were alive (his dd's mother passed away this year, she was young and had a heart attack in her sleep) What a mess! This guy is a great friend, and I met his family last night and they were the nicest bunch of italians and we had so much fun - but how can i do anything when my heart is somewhere else and I am working on my self improvement phase. I want to just enjoy for a short time, feel good about me...and take the compliments.... OK SO last nights NSV ... I wore the new jeans to work, my bff told me I should get the smaller size, but anyway, they are midrise so the tattoo was showing all night... another guy at work who has seen it an liked it kept coming over to see me last night and said how much he enjoyed looking at it and to wear the jeans next week when he works. NICE... now that is what I mean about boosting my self esteem! Well, i'm drinking coffee and going to put the holiday boxes up in the attic and get ready for work, I'm there for the night. Hope everyone is having a great day... Oh, warming up here too, dishwasher is thawed out this morning... YIPEE Love you all -

That's our Tracy... out and about spreadin' the gospel of the band to all those who will come near and listen! Good job! And great NSV's... I really think that's what it's all about... the scale be d'mned!... it's new habits/behaviors/living! (ha ha... I typed "new hobbits" ha ha!) I am off 'til Sunday... am lugging a "carload of sh*t" (as dh puts it) down to my Mom's house for her neighborhood's annual yard sale all day tomorrow. I am *not* a yard-saler at all... don't shop them & have never held one... so what to take & how to price it all is a bit foreign to me... but I've just got to get rid of some of this stuff... and some of it is nice... kids' clothes & outgrown toys, etc... so we'll see how it goes. And dd is going to have a lemonade/cookie stand, too. We've decided that any/all $$ raised will go into our "Walt Disney World" vacation can (yes, literally it is a WDW Holiday Coffee can!) (empty, duh) for a future trip... maybe I should start a "Shrinkin' Violets Cruise" can??? Have a super weekend everyone!! -

That is so cool to have a consult with that ps on BM........ hey maybe you can get a cut rate if you agree to go on the show! Pam: Married Life feels just like the Living in sin life.... when it feels different is when someone refers to him as my husband. Kat: Glad you dad came through the surgery ok..... my prayer for you is for your life to stay calm for a bit Jennifur: You are such a good neice! I have a meeting today with a big whig.. my boss wants me to attend so I can see what goes on at these annual meetings... it is me playing the game for when he retires......... he really wants me to get his job when he leaves... the problem is that he has a Masters degree and I don't.... the nuns are VERY educationaly snobbish as many of them are phd's. Most of them have no idea what I actually do, since I deal with the lay employees.................. so anyway...... today's NSV is that I'm wearing one of the new white blouse I bought yesterday.... (Size 16, black jacket size 16, and black dress slacks, size 14), but they are cut loosely and they have some give... BUT last week I could not get them zipped. My hair is up and I actually have matching earrings............ and new shoes that I bought last year but have never worn................ so I AM DRESSED TO THE NINES........ very professional............ Now that I am fitting into some of my old clothes it feels very good to dress up......... hell it feels good to give a crap again.... I am only now realizing how deep of a pit that I was in......... I know I've said it before.. but my beginning pic is so very painful for me to look at over and over again day after day on my sig.......... I don't even recognize the miserable woman in it........... to me, I've always looked like my most recent pic.... heavy but happy, sexy in size 16's........ I can not describe how much power my little band has given me over food. It is very freeing................... OK so enough with deep introspection........... lets talk about seeing our coochies! :car: -

Almost forgot... a lady that was at church today for the first time in about a month said... "hey, skinny!" as I was leaving after church. Love those NSV's!!! I know I'm not skinny yet, but I know I'm so different than what I was 8 months ago, and different than what I'll be 4 months from now!! It keeps getting better and better!!! -

I just had my first NSV....We had a death in the family, so I had to go shopping for something to wear to the Funeral. Before surgery I was a size 22/24. The dress I just bought was a size 16!!!!!!
