I had the two week preop, cheated on day 9 not bc I was hungry bc I'd gotten threw that phase but bc my family went to the mall where my fav meal was. Tried it, was discusting, made me angry but I survived. So, postop day I had complications so for the next 5 day stay in the hospital, no drinking, just iv fluids, on day 6 they let me drink. Day 8 came home for another 2 wk liq. I'm no hungry, physically or mentally but my doc makes me drink the 1 oz med cups 4/hr. So I'm constantly drinking shakes, crystal lite lemon flav, some chicken broth I'd done myself prior to surgery ( low sodium) and jello in the oz cups. Ik I prob didnt help u, bc u do know what ur feeling, but the routine of drinkn that I'm on, keeps my mind settled away from head hunger. I cooked for my family today, was hard smelling it but I did good. I guess smelln it everyday in the hospital helped a lot. God bless and gl and if ur able to walk, take a stroll, read a good book, play spades on ur phone like I Do, lol. And most of all, all u can do is one day at a time, so don't waste it on the next day or the ten other days. Just get threw today.

Where to go in mexico
Paulina Green replied to chunkycharlie's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
There's this great great SUPPORT GROUP on Facebook.. go in there, it will help a lot, still helping me, and I had my surgery done a couple of months ago...there's a lot of real patients, but it is a really active group, even surgeon answer your questions..it's call Dr Carlos Altamirano Support Group, he's not my doctor, but he also works for bariatricpal, but even though I didn't use him, they left me in. And here is my experience... I will like to share my experience after 9 months because now I'm closer to my goal, but first of all because I know I made the best decision ever, it's not just how I look, but how I feel inside, I'm a healthier and happier person now, I have improved my relationship with family and friends. My self esteem was in the ground, therefore I wasn't too friendly, now people like to be close to me, and it's only been 9 months like a I said, Im doing all kinds of outdoor activities, I'm going to the gym, I have a new wonderful wardrobe, I'm dating, I love myself more than ever.... and everything started like this…I tried all kind of diets and diet pills before going to surgery, they helped, but only for a short period of time, and if I dropped 10 pounds, after a couple of months I gained 15, I kept going like this FOR YEARS, I just couldn't keep that weight away FOR GOOD, I went into depression, the worse year of my life, but yet the better, in January of 2014, I wasn't getting out of my house or job, obviously my family was a bit worried, I even went to therapy, I felt petty about myself, then I signed up in forums of people with the same issue I had... OUR WEIGHT, met this girl that was doing the same thing as I'm doing right now...sharing her story and helping people, I had made my own research, I looked up for doctors in Tijuana, and this girl told me about Bariatric Pal, they were so helpful, I started with them from nothing.... and they guided me in every decision I was taking, first, they gave me my options, I visited the doctors they recommend, and I stayed with Dr. Lopez,I felt really comfortable with him, It felt like he knew me, well to make the story short, Bariatric Pal made all the arrangements for me, the day of my surgery, they picked me up in San Diego, they took us (my brother and I) to the clinic, as I hoped, they made me feel so welcome, I signed up, a few papers, they explained to me everything I was signing and they gave me my room, they did all kinds of pre-op tests, EKG, etc.. they gave me a pill to calm me down, since I was really nervous,I had Dr. Lopez visited me before surgery, I liked that, because sometimes you never get to see your surgeon, I think he gave the attention every patient deserves, we deserve to be treated as humans, if it is not too much to ask, well SURGERY went great, no complications, afterwards a Lil bit of dizziness, nauseated, but that's just normal, I stayed two days in there, then Mike from Bariatric pal drove us to the recovery house where my brother stayed while I was at the hospital, they didn't have a room for him, but the guys from BP take great care of him as they did for me the two extra day we decided to stay at their RH, then they drove me back to San Diego the day Dr. Lopez discharges me...I will be in debt with all the staff the rest of my life. My recuperation, had its ups and downs, but I did a lot of reading, about what I could eat, which is one of the hardest parts of it, I learned my vegetables, my Protein, and I learned to eat, I would cheer myself up every time I felt this was too much to handle, my family and friends helped a lot also, but now I know it was the BEST DECISION EVER, I'm proud of myself, and telling my story because I want people to feel the same way I do, I'm still dropping weight, and I will keep telling my stories, my progress and my humble advice in case you need support. -
I have 130-140lbs that I need to lose. I didn't like the fact that I would have to get fills and all that PLUS I'm insulin resistant with having PCOS and I know the Lap Band isn't the best for that which is why my last surgeon switched me to gastric bypass but I didn't feel comfortable with that. I got July 10th to the first seminar. I'm nervous because of all the complications that can happen but I've had 10 surgeries so far that also had complications but I never had a second thought of having them done. I just need to keep my anxiety at bay

Where to go in mexico
xxjosettexx replied to chunkycharlie's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had complications with my gastric plication from OCC in Mexico (nausea, not surgeon error), and I also had to have the lap band that they placed during my plication revision removed in an emergency surgery here in the states (not due to surgeon error though). I saved up and now I'm getting sleeved here in the United states, but I have heard good things about Mexicali bariatric center. With that being said, the care I recieved at OCC was very good, and the facility was clean! And Dr Ortiz has great bedside manner, the sleeve patients when I was down there were practically bouncing out of bed right after surgery! Just email them and theyll get info to you ASAP -
Hi all. I need some help. Had my surgery Oct 2020. Went private in the UK which means no psychological help/therapy beforehand & £10,000 out of pocket 😕 I lost very quickly & easily, minimal complications. I'm about 12kg from my goal bmi of 23 and feel & look a million times better. But... I've stopped trying. I injured myself about a month ago & couldn't exercise, I stopped tracking food & started eating rubbish. Not binge eating but actively making terrible choices, partly because real food was a struggle for a while & junk gave me energy at least. I'm not losing but not putting on. I'm fit again but can't bring myself to exercise. Friends & family haven't noticed an issue as I'm a normal weight now but I know I have more to lose & would like to. Not sure what's happened, I just can't seem to remotivate & I'm terrified about wasting this "golden" time & know that if I carry on I will eventually start to gain. Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome. Every day that passes I feel a little more lost & useless.

Looking for a revision doctor in Washington State
brittu replied to BigClive's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Let's see... here are some things to consider. Here's my story. I had a band for 3 years. I was successful until my band slipped and I had serious enough complications that my quality of life wasn't too good and I started regaining weight. Once that I happened I also had to admit to myself that the band was farily unpleasant even when I was losing weight. I hated the feeling of food sitting at the top of my stomach and I had frequent sliming and stuck food issues. But I had just kind of been in denial about all my issues because my weight loss was good. I fought for insurance coverage for revision for over a year so I had lots of time to do research. My insurance would cover a new band but not a revision to anything else. It was a long, soul-destroying process - no point in detailing here . For a revision, I was willing to go anywhere in the country or Mexico and I spent a lot of time reading boards and researching stats. I also found out about the sleeve and spent lots of time researching it and bypass. I also went to an OH conference, met with several surgeons, did phone consults, you name it. I even watched video of all of the surgeons I was considering doing the procedure. I admit it, I'm a compulsive researcher. Surgeons - in Washington I felt the best choice was Dr. Billing at Puget Sound Surgical. He's done more sleeves than other surgeons in the area. He's pioneered a technique he refers to as a "lap-sleeve". He's always interested in learning and sharpening his skills - I found him to be both confident and caring without the arrogance that afflicts so many surgeons. Dr. Billing removed my lap band in October of 2009. Because of the insurance issues we didn't convert at the same time. He would have but his preference was to wait because he was concerned about damage to my stomach and giving it time to flatten back out and heal before doing the sleeve. The only two other surgeons I was willing to go to were Dr. Cirangle in SF and Dr. Aceves in Mexico. In June I did end up going to Dr. Aceves. I had a scheduling issue and had to have my surgery during a specific week. I also lost my legal case and had to self-pay. Dr. Aceves and his staff were fantastic and I appreciated have 3 full days of care in the hospital. Late this summer I developed a serious hernia. My abdominal wall was separated from my sternum to below my belly button. My primary care doc actually sent me to Dr. Billing who did the repair surgery three weeks ago. Other surgeons could have been kinda pissy in this situation - after I, he didn't do my sleeve. But he understood why I had to go to Dr. Aceves and was more than happy to help me. Once again, he was great, I trusted the surgical decisions he made, and I'm doing well. (He also told me my sleeve looked great and took a picture of it for me while he was in there - nice since he wasn't the surgeon who did it). Bypass or sleeve for revision: I did a huge compilation of research on revisions as part of my legal case. You can read my summary. The bottom line is that a sleeve is an appopriate revision for a failed lap band patient. Dr. Billing believes that sleeve will overtake bypass and may completely replace lap band surgery in the next 5-10 years just because the outcomes are so good. He said something really interesting to me a week ago when I had a follow-up. He told me that his sleeve patients, even his revisions, are far and away his happiest patients. They feel great, they have little to no complications and they seem to have little or no difficultiy maintaining their weight loss. http://vsgappeal.blogspot.com/2010/07/summary-appeal-letter-studies-and.html In my case I had regained my lap band weight loss and was back at 236 when I had my surgery in June. I'm already down to 174. I really didn't expect to lose that quickly. What really amazes me about my old band vs. the sleeve is that it's not just about limiting my volume. I don't know whether it's the grehlin being gone or just how quickly the satiety switch gets set off in a smaller stomach but I just don't really crave food or want to eat to fullness. When I first started eating solids I ate too much a few times and it was really uncomfortable. I backed off a bit so I wouldn't get to that point but it's really more than that. I just feel find and completely uninterested in food after a few bites so it's very easy to stop before my little sleeve is packed full. Somehow the sleeve changed how I feel about food - what I want to eat and when I feel like pushing the plate away. I haven't heard anyone I know say that about their gastric bypass. I also was uncomfortable with the other health issues of bypass like dumping and malnutrition. Another suggestion about surgeons: I've met most of the surgeons in the Seattle area who do weight loss surgeries. I think most are good doctors and are well intentioned. But every surgeon's opinion is colored by their own experience. They have what they do well, they have their comfort zones, and some are more willing than others to push beyond them. Sleeve is new and some surgeons are just now starting to look it it. Others, like Cirangle and Billing, have been doing them awhile and feel confident in the technique and in the successes their seeing with their patients. Dr. Lauter has done some sleeves but not a huge amount. He seemed like a great guy to me but it's worth considering that if he's most comfortable with bypass then that's what he's most likely to suggest to his patients. And it stands to reason that he would. All in all I'd say my research shows the sleeve to be as good and in some ways a better revision option than bypass. I prefer Dr. Billing to other local surgeons and would suggest meeting with him if you have the time to come up north. Even if you don't go with him it's good to have another medical opinion. Take care. I'm sure whatever you decide will be right for you. Happy to answer any questions you might have. At just about 6 months in to my revision I'm no expert but I can certainly share my own experiences so far. -
Considering Vsg A Year After Band Removed....
Vicki0618 replied to Vicki0618's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have been relatively impressed with everything I have read about the sleeve....seems like almost everyone is happy with it. I have seen a few people with complications but I would expect that with any surgery. However, I thought I was being very informed when I got my band too. But the band definitely wasn't the way I wanted to live. So no throwing up?? No "getting stuck"??? Can you actually eat REAL food...like chicken, and steak?? I felt like the band made it impossible to eat real food....processed foods seemed to be all I could eat...no matter how small the bite, or how much I chewed. I'm pretty happy with everything I have read/seen so far....hopefully I will get cooperation from the doc when I finally get to talk to him. -
Welcome to LBT~~ There are several Dr. threads, detailing who each used, what the cost was etc. I fully believe getting your personal physician involved, and looking into after care to be of utmost importance before moving on to a surgeon. I did use a surgeon in Mexico---I went to Mexicali MX and used Dr. Aceves. I was totally and completely happy with the experience. I have recommended him to many locally who have used him. I do know when I had my surgery done going on 2 years ago, he was very strict--concerning having a follow up plan in place. He spoke with the Dr. I intended on using closer to home for fills, and was still not satisfied!!! The closest fill Dr. I had at the time was over 6 hours away one way! So he had me speak with my physician concerning emergency treatment. In the end I spoke with my former oncologist, whose office is used to dealing with ports, and got his agreement to do a total unfill in case of emergency--and then and only then did he agree to do my surgery! He contacted me several times following surgery, and now the office touches base every 3 months. He gave me lots of information and visited with me one on one prior to the surgery. He accepted some of my medical test results, others he required his own, but it was part of the cost. I would avoid ANY Dr. who was willing to set up a surgical date without any pre op testing, or speaking to you personally! I would not go to a Dr. who insisted on pre payment before I arrived in the country for surgery. Dr. Aceves normally required a $500.00 payment to schedule the surgery and the rest upon your pre op visit. Somehow the envelope my SIL mailed with our checks was lost, and never arrived, until we had been home for 3 weeks!!! Anyway, he did not fuss about it, we paid it all when we saw him...well his office staff for that part of it. I would be sure to ask how many Lap Bands the surgeon has done. What his complication rates are. What exact type of band he uses. What size of port he uses. If you have issues with tape or metal--ask how he closes the wounds. If you are concerned with port placement, ask where he places it in most cases. Whether this is a hospital or a surgical center. Are they willing to give you info on the hosp. so you can check for issues with the hospital. How long of a stay they anticipate, what is usual for them. Whether there will be English speaking nurses available. Whether you can have a support person with you at all times barring surgery itself. Is there a place for your support person to sleep? Eat? What type of pre op testing they require. Do they have any transportation help to and from the airport/ Do they have accomodations for you while you are there, and not in the hospital? I cannot think right off the top of my head---I am sure you will receive more questions to ask-----BE INFORMED!! Have all your ducks in a row before surgery--do not get it done and then come around looking for a fill Dr. This is your health! Good Luck to you!! Any other questions, feel free to ask away, if you do not get answers---either bump the question to the top again, or ask again. Sometimes this board moves quickly and the question does not get seen. Again, welcome! Kat

What complications did you have? -
Unless you have complications there is no reason you *need* to follow up with a bariatric surgeon. I don't know anyone who had surgery in Mexico who does. The standard advice I have seen is to see your PCP at 2 months, 6 months, and 12 months post-op. Have your regular blood and urine tests as well as vitamin and mineral levels checked. Weight and blood pressure checked and recorded. The lab work, without insurance, is what may kill you cost-wise. You may need to do some serious shopping around for that, but it's important. As far as food goes, I'm not much help as I tend to focus on eating for nutrition rather than to stave off boredom. I really don't care if I eat the same things over and over again, so I don't ever really think about "new ideas" for food. That said, here's mostly what I ate during weight loss phase: breakfast: chicken or beef roll-ups in romaine lettuce (with pickle relish, hot mustard, etc.) lunch: chopped chicken breast with green veggies and a little light salad dressing dinner: poached egg on refried beans, tuna salad bake, lamb chops, steamed curried scallops, steamed cayenne pepper shrimp, chicken breast baked in yogurt, turkey-spinach-goat cheese burger patty, sardines in mustard. Good luck!

Anyone Have A Hernia Repaired? Still Hitting The Pain Meds After 9 Days
SweetP replied to Dooter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said they repaired a small hernia when they did my sleeve. I'm 9 days out and I haven't used pain meds since day 3. Everyone is different and maybe your hernia was more complicated to repair. -
I went to a seminar last night...it was good. I've been to one before like 3 or more years ago. I was surprised to see so many people there. I felt good/comfortable. The doctor and staff seemed nice. The insurance lady was so funny...she was like we will get you approved! they work with a special lawyer that goes after the insurance company for discrimination...interesting. Also they really dont do self pay..they will find some sort of insurance b/c if there is a complication at any point (even years down the road) an insurance company you may have currently will not pay b/c you had an uninsured procedure! (who knew?!!?!) Anyway..consultation next wed.

What with the kids in school and being a single Mom, I have to wait to be sleeved. Oh, well, gives me time to build up my leave days! I am scheduled for 28 December with Dr. Aceves. So far (as of this writing) I'm told there is only one other person scheduled that day. I'm hoping a gang of us will be down there, tho!! If there are no complications, we'll be released a day early, so as not to have to attempt the border crossing and travel on New Year's Eve. Looking forward to making some new friends - anyone wanna join me?? Sheri

I Wasnt Expecting To Be In This Much Pain...
ProudGrammy replied to thinkingskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thinkingskinny remember, we all heal differently, just like we all lose weight at different time periods. The one constant is that we're all different. i totally understand your frustration concerning your aches and pains. Having to take pain meds all the time, no fun. But, if the meds do help, which it sounds like they do - take the meds and be happy they do the trick. Don't worry about being doped up alittle. You are entitled to get a lot of rest. yes i see on the board all the time that people were doing well in a quick amount of time, never had any pain - went back to work in a few days, i know i've heard it all too. so it must be hard for you to hear when you are in your condition, besides this pain will go away - sounds like you are recupperating nicely. otherwise. Some people have complications and stuff so be happy you are not in that boat. i know that doesn't help your present situation though. I think i'm just going in circles saying what you probably know: take your pain meds, and you will feel better, sooner than later. as far as your liquid intake - most people have trouble getting Protein shakes in those first few days after surgery. it is more important to drink liquids (Water, broth, popsicles) don't let yourself get dehydrated.. get better soon best wishes take care kathy -

Choosing between sleeve and bypass
lunadreams posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I've been planning to have the sleeve, and have done all the pre-op requirements. If all goes well, I want to do WLS over the summer. I've been planning on the sleeve, as it's what my surgeon recommended for me, but now I'm wondering if I should go for the bypass. I'm in my late 40s (done having kids, so fertility/pregnancy is not a factor in my decision), have a BMI of just over 35, with PCOS, diabetes, hypertension, and recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy (we're not sure of the cause, though I've read a study showing WLS improves symptoms). When I asked my surgeon why she recommended the sleeve, she said it's because I have relatively less weight to lose, and, although it will require work and being vigilant with diet, she thinks it will be successful for me, and is less invasive and risky, though she also said she would be willing to do the bypass if it's what I want. My endocrinologist said that the bypass has additional mechanisms by which it can resolve metabolic issues, but she'd suggest asking my surgeon about her rate of complications with bypass. She also said she'd be less inclined to push bypass for me, though, because my diabetes is well-controlled on one medication (A1c is usually between 5.7 to 6.0). My cardiologist strongly advised me to go with the sleeve, because she has a number of patients who were a "hot mess," medically, after bypass. I want to resolve my cardio-metabolic issues, but the risks of bypass also really concern me. I've never been anemic, but I've been deficient in other vitamins and have experienced hair loss and other issues as a result, so I'm concerned I may be at greater risk for deficiencies and other unwanted consequences with the bypass. I'm not sure how to decide this...help? -
Many of my close friends and family know that I have had a battle all my life. A struggle that has been at the forefront of each and every day that I can remember of my life. Something that I know many of you can relate to and also struggle with. Weight. For all of my teenage years and into my adult life I fought every pound my body so readily gained. I was active, I rode horses every day, I played sports, I camped, and I hiked. I grew up on a farm, so throwing hay and carting buckets of water and grain was any every day normal for me, however, as active as I was I gained weight at what seemed to be astronomical speeds. I was always the heaviest of my friends, even though I ate far less and much healthier foods than they, growing up on the farm, we ate home grown everything. I didn't chow down on the cookies, cakes and fast foods my thin friends ate and yet, there I was 50-75 pounds bigger than all of them. I can remember in 8th grade I weighted 185 pounds at 5 foot 3 inches tall at that time. Every minute of my life all I thought about was how I worked so hard and stayed so active and yet I was heavy. When I was 19 I became pregnant and my weight went from 190's to 240 plus. I was able to lose a bit of the "baby weight" and got back down to around 210 pounds. Three years later, and after every diet known to mankind, from weight watchers to metabolife, I was pregnant again, this time ballooning up to 270 pounds. I was on depression medications afterwards. I was sick, very sick from the depression and literal pain of morbid obesity. Many years passed, and many more diets came and went, Atkins, The Zone, Jenny Craig, South Beach, slim fast, fasting, dexatrim, low carb, low fat, high protein, phen phen and hgc diet, I tried them all. In that time I was never able to maintain anything under 200 pounds. At 32 years old, I went through a terrible divorce, and I don't know about any one else but divorce was like a living death for me, I gave up on myself at that point. In 2010 and weighing 256 pounds I finally found some hope to all the endlessness. I was able blessed to have family and friends and insurance see me through a life saving lapband surgery in April of 2010. I finally had the extra push and the help I needed. Though I did not lose weight fast, 5 pounds a month or so, I was healthier. My blood pressure returned to normal, my pre-diabetic blood sugars returned to normal, I did not have to have a cpac machine, my joints ached less and I felt pretty great all around. (My photo is after my surgery, after I had lost some weight and felt almost normal) So than why, you might wonder am I here today? Two months ago my lapband "slipped." It is not in the right place in order to help create the pocket of my stomach as it once had. Basically there is no restriction. Not only has this caused me to gain almost 40 pounds in 2 months, I am no longer able to feel a feeling of fullness. I still eat healthy, as anyone who has had weight loss surgery knows, you have to go through nutrition courses and relearn how and what to eat, my issue is is that even after I have eaten my salad, I feel as though I have eaten nothing at all, there is no satisfaction, no full feeling and so one salad becomes two, becomes three, and so on until I am in literal pain and a whole head of lettuce is gone in one sitting, not to mention the tomatoes, cheese, diced chicken, onion, zucchini and what ever other topping I can find to eat with it. I have gained weight back so fast that my bones, muscles, joints and ligament scream in pain in a constant. In just the past two months I have went from 177 pounds to 227 pounds. My blood pressure is on the rise, and as we all know all the other health risks associated with morbid obesity are close at hand. Another complication my lapband has caused because of the slippage is sever heartburn, acid, re-flux and gurd. Those in themselves have life threatening side effects, esophageal cancer at the top of the list. Though I have insurance, it does not cover the full cost of the surgery I need to have the band removed and replaced with a gastric surgery. I know this is a lot to ask of anyone, and to some it may even seem selfish, but I am a 40 plus year old, married, mom and I am not asking this in order to win any beauty contests. This is not cosmetic, in fact I never had the excess skin removed from my last surgery (which is now filled in again) because this is not about appearances. It's about a person, many of you may know in one form or another that just wants to spend the second half of her life healthy. A life not waking up to the fears of diabetes, heart attacks, uterine cysts and cancers that are so often coupled with being morbidly obese. And to not have to carry that tag ("morbidly obese") of death every day of what could be a shortened life. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, thank you for reading this far, thank you for your understanding, and compassion, you are a rare gift, and I mean this sincerely as there are some even in my own home that persecute me for even writing this. You are my hope and my salvation. Sincerely, Liv. https://www.gofundme.com/livs-surgery

Let's count Dr. Aceves Patients!
BlackBerryJuice replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Nina moderates the site. This is strange - I don't post on the Yahoo Group very much, but I get their messages all the time. I've definitely seen messages about complications. Recently there was even a "Dr. Aceves is not all he's cracked up to be" type of message. So I'm not sure if your experience was really censorship or just some sort of technical difficulty. The one time I wanted to post a question and it didn't go through, Nina e-mailed me back to say she couldn't approve it. I was looking for a plastic surgeon for a friend and she said in the past patients have recommended surgeons and someone went to a plastic surgeon and had major complications, so they no longer allow posts advertising surgeons who are not someone Dr. Aceves trusts and knows is competent. That said, I trust this board more regarding complications and the like. Even though I personally have not seen proof of censorship of bad experiences there, I'm obviously a bit suspicious that it could happen there. -
Let's count Dr. Aceves Patients!
GeorgieGirl1957 replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my sleeve by Dr. Aceves on 8/12. Would not hesitate to recommend him. See some of my other posts for my story, post op complications (no fault of anyone---just one of those things) And I got awesome care for that too! I'm a retired health care professional and know the difference between great care, so-so care and horrible care. And I can tell you that for the most part the care is awesome in the hospital. I had zero complaints about Aceves and his team. It was the first spinal I ever in my life. And it went very well. No problems with it at all. I had very little post op pain, one tiny episode of nausea (my first sip of water---which was cured by an IV medication) and no vomiting. I am about 8 weeks and a couple days post op and have lost a total of 79 lbs (total pre op dieting and postop) 39 post op. I thought it would be more, but the scale keeps moving albeit slowly. Our AZ weather has been bloody hot lately but the pool is too cold to swim because our overnight temps cool the Water too much. So I am not exercising like I was. Need to get back into that. Bottom line: I have not had one second of regret for the surgery choice, the surgeon choice, or anything else. I feel so much better. All my GERD has disappeared. Not one episode of it since surgery (knock on wood). But I am pretty much following the program to the letter (except I need more exercise). Our temps are expected to cool off next week. and I start classes after that too so that will get me moving more. GG -
My loose skin is in my face, not on my abdomen. I have fat cheeks, new lines when I smile, and a line of skin hanging from my neck. I am a 49 year old man, is it too early for a facelift and necklift? Would I look like a space alien after getting one? Or should I just let the skin hang and shake however it wants to do so? Is recovery from a facelift and necklift painful? For those of you who have had one, are you glad you had it? Did you have any complications? How about scarring?

Yeah I take it for anxiety as well. I'm having complications so haven't taken it in a few days due to a stricture. Not sure how I'll so once its out of my system. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
