  1. Thank you for your replies. I have my consult on Thursday so I'm just trying to get as much info in ahead of time[emoji4]
  2. What made you choose sleeve over other options? DS or RNY? Looking to revise from band. Thanks!
  3. Thank you both for you input, I appreciate it!@ndonato and @O-town body rock
  4. Thanks! I read the policy. I'm just worried how this will play out. Originally I had to fight for approval, took two appeals with the assistance of obesitylaw.com So.. I fear, will they say it wasn't medically necessary? And, did you have to redo the original requirements? Supervised diet etc?
  5. Yes this is my question too, are they making you start as if this is your first surgery? Do you have to redo the supervised diet etc. I too have POS II
  6. Anyone been through a revision with Aetna? I currently have the band, I initially went from 239 to 165 back up to 239 +/- in the past 5 years. I just started looking into revision surgery and would love to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance
  7. For me, the number 1 thing I wish I knew is that after surgery I'd be a total bag o' gas OMG, if it's not coming outta one end, it's the other. And the crazy loud and long burps are just... so... satisfying. oh and that gas pains can land you in the ER.... so let them burps roll ladies and gents, holding them in is bad.
  8. That's ridiculous. Insurance company's try to force people to jump through all these hoops! I tell everyone this, but contact OBESITYLAW.COM. They're advocates and they can help. I was denied twice, and they got me approved. Good luck to you!
  9. May 5th for me. I have had several fills, currently up to 7.4cc's in my 10cc band. Down about 45lbs give or take. Had one fill done on 10.4.11 but ended up having a major cold and severe back pain so that fill was removed on 10.6.11 and just put back in today. Hope everyone is doing well
  10. If I were you, I'd contact obesitylaw.com. They're advocates to help people fight for approval. Kelly Lindstrom helped me, they're super nice and they know how to navigate through the insurance bs. They file your appeals for you. Good luck to you
  11. You will Dawn Fill number 7 is done, up to 7.4ccs in my 10cc band.
  12. Dawn that's awesome! My five month is tomorrow, I'm barely into onederland and I'm going in today for my 7th fill I can wear size 12 jeans which is the most amazing thing... And I just bought a Halloween costume that isn't a plus size so I'm super excited about that!!
  13. Oh good, I thought it was just me. It's weird because I'm not clausterphobic (did i spell that right) but the tightness of spanx or anything else like that just makes me so sick to my tummy.
  14. I finally hit onederland and updated my ticker Down to a sz 12-14 jeans, still in an xl t-shirt though... The girls refuse to shrink a little lol and I can't handle tight clothes. Any of you wear spanx? I can't do it... I feel like a slug in a straw plus the tightness makes me feel sick.
  15. I totally know what you're talking about. Three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery. Afterwards and still to this day, I have the hardest time remembering the little things. I used to be able to recall every little trivial thing...now...it's gone. My spine surgeon said it was due to my body working to heal itself and fuse the bone that it was taking energy from everywhere to do it. But now? Stress maybe. Sometimes I forget my words.... so tired of being stupid LOL I can't tell you if it gets better, I'm still waiting!
  16. I love NSV"s thank you for sharing! I started as a sz 18 jeans, went to Old Navy...bought some 16s, accidently bought a 14...it fit better than the 16..so I went back and bought size 12... I can't remember the last time I was in 12s!
  17. Hiya doing well I have 7.2ccs in my 10cc band - 6 fills so far. I'm nearing 40lbs loss and I refuse to update my ticker til I hit onederland lol - soooo close!
  18. I use the iPhone app too: LoveMyGoldies is me on MFP
  19. Jaspurr (aka FAT FAT) 20lbs and Miss Emma (Memmy) 15lbs my two cats LOL
  20. Thank you for sharing your story And CONGRATS on your amazing loss. You will get to goal, you already know how far you've made it on your journey. Just keep on keepin' on
  21. I do not have the same insurance, however contact Walter Lindstrom's advocacy group in california. Obesitylaw.com I was denied by my insurance too, and they helped me. It took two appeals and I was approved, I was under 40bmi w/ no real comorbidities either - well none that my insurance considered severe enough. Good luck to you. Contact them, they're super helpful and the nicest folks.
  22. NVS's are my favorite to read, thank you for sharing! Congrats!!!
  23. Hooray! I'm with you, I'm just a couple lbs away too... Can't wait...
  24. I have the WW scale, I got it at costco... I'm not sure I recommend it though because I swear that scale is a crack smoker. It jumps numbers, like it will say 204 then step off, step on and it will jump to 209... ya no that's so not right. Move it to a different spot and its back at 204.... I'm about to toss the sucker. thats just my 2cents
