    Broccoli slaw is the devil!

Hahahaha not sure I’d want to be anywhere near an open flame [emoji91] unless this madness passes.
  2. Mine was covered by insurance. I have Aetna POS II.
  3. Has anyone had any major processing done to their hair during the “help my hair is falling out” phase? Is it a bad idea? I’m scheduled for a balayage and fantasy coloring this month but am worried since I am in that “help my hair is falling out” stage. I already feel like it’s so thin but I just need to get my hairs did! What’s your experience!?!? Thanks [emoji4]

Hair questions - bleaching and dyeing

Thanks, 2.5 more working days. It’s not that bright. I have naturally dark hair so it’s bold but not bright. What’s cool is in different lighting the colors are different.

Hair questions - bleaching and dyeing

Thanks guys, I did get my balayage done and then pinks, purples and blues added. All went well and it doesn’t seem to have made the loss any worse. Whew!

My butt aches when I sit too long

@jenn1 I laughed so hard at your comment. I’ve always had this problem even at my heaviest cuz I suffer from Asian flat arse syndrome. But it’s 100 times worse now... I bruise my own butt just sitting. It’s like my the bottom of my pelvic bones stick out from what’s left of my butt and just immediately bruise me.

    Any DS or Loop/SADI patients?

I’m a revision band to sips. Didn’t have any comorbidities. I think I’m a slower loser due to revision and if I’m honest I’m not 100% compliant. No complaints though, love my SIPS.
  9. Removing my band and revising to SIPS was the best thing ever. I was so grateful to have that torture device removed. I too had trouble with water, it would get stuck and make me pb/slime over and over again. I don’t miss it. Are you revising or just removing?
  10. Double crossing my legs. I can do it left over right, not right over left yet. (This pic is from google, not me)

    OMG I'm Obese!!

Overweight will hit you before you know it[emoji4]
  12. The single anastomoses is relatively new in comparison to the traditional DS. And no, not all surgeons who do the VSG can do the traditional or the single anastomoses DS. They do require much more training as both (especially the traditional DS) are much more complex surgeries.

    New Booty....any advice

Sugar free jello also is a life saver, especially if you need to chew. Sometimes the urge to chew is what drove me mad on the liquid phases. Good luck, you’ll do great!

When do you bite the bullet....

The closet shopping is so much fun. I had an old bcbg woman dress that was a 2x that I had tailored down when I was on one of my crazy diets 15+ years ago and was at the time my smallest adult size (I was wearing 9 or 11 in juniors) I can now wear that dress and it’s loose. Having to buy new clothes I stick to old navy mostly since I am a T-shirt and jeans girl. It is nice to walk by a lane Bryant and not even give it a second glance anymore!!!

Submitted to Insurance, now I wait...

The first time it was for my lapband which was denied twice, took a couple weeks. This time for the revision it took less than a week for approval. I have Aetna pos II. Good luck! You can always call too and just ask for a status.

Woohoo! Great feeling isn’t it! [emoji4]

    Any issues with meat?

I haven’t found any foods that I cannot tolerate. I kinda wish I did though. Lol it’s like that curly hair vs straight hair argument in my head.
  18. One thing that comes to mind is having a guy pick you up with his hands under your butt and lift you to kiss you... without straining. That one blew my mind.
  19. Your feet will shrink and maybe even go down a size! I used to wear 9s now they’re all too big. I’ve been trying on 8 and 8.5 in shoes.
  20. It’s so frustrating this journey we all are on. I’m grateful but still frustrated.
  21. I’m in bounceville via Stuckland too. Feckin scale goes 165, 164, 163, 165, 166, 164. Curse you scale gods! It’s been weeks. *grumble, curse, spit* 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Hair questions - bleaching and dyeing

I hear you! The only reason I’m going now is because of an upcoming vacation. I can’t go on vacation without freshening up my color. I’ve already let it grow out so badly that I need a full balayage vs a partial. I appreciate your response, thank you! [emoji4]

Hair questions - bleaching and dyeing

Thank you for the reply. [emoji4] much appreciated. I’m planning on a balayage ombré with some fantasy colors. I’m just worried since I’m currently in that hair loss stage. [emoji43]

    Recovery for Singles

Maybe she can stay with them for the first week or two? Those are the hardest weeks not only with like incisions but when you also feel the weakest cuz of lack of nutrients.

    Recovery for Singles

I don’t have any advice about the family...my personal experience with dogs is what I want to offer. 10+ years ago I had spinal fusion surgery and I was really worried about my two 80+ lb young golden retrievers hurting me. From the moment I got home, they were the most gentle amazing comfort to me. They shared our bed and not once did they hurt me. Our fur babies just seem to know when they need to take it easy with us. I would just be extra careful for the first few weeks with walkies, get a no pull harness or something. The pulling might harm your stitches. Good luck!
