    Belly Binder...needed or naw

I bought one, tried it on and then returned it. I’ve always hated being squeezed. Can’t even wear spanx without feeling sick. I feel like a slug in a straw being squeezed in clothing. Not sure what it is but when I’m squeezed I get queasy and back pains and I feel like trapped gas. Always been that way no matter what size I am. Just used a pillow when I needed to cough.

Let's Talk Dying By Your Own Hand!

Depending on the length of your hair you might get more value going to like sally beauty and buying your color and developer separately. Box dyes are one and done and sometimes pretty hard on hair. But if you buy the professional color and developer individually, you can mix as much or as little as you need each time. They also have fantasy colors which is what I prefer.

    Dizzy, light headed... low bp

how would i go about checking my blood sugar? ive never had issues prior to surgery. I wasnt diabetic, didnt have bp issues before either. this is all new to me. i have an appt with my surgical team once a month. I will ask at my next meeting. I appreciate your response. 😊
  4. I’m 9 months post op and have been getting light headed and dizzy a lot this past week. Never had high bp preop, but I checked today and I’m low. 90/60. Anyone has this? Also this week I almost passed out three times while visiting a family member in the hospital. I don’t know if it was the intensity, the temperature or what but it was strange for me. Last labs were good a few weeks ago, still a little low on iron but the rest were stable and normal, aside from my good cholesterol, it’s pretty low. Thoughts?

    Busting outta hospital

Did you by chance have a scopolamine patch? That gives you wicked dry mouth.

    Dry skin and hair

Have you had blood work done lately? My doc just told me yesterday that vitamin A deficiencies can lead to dry skin too.

    B-12 Shots

I’ve been doing a weekly b-12 shot since my first labs before surgery. I didn’t ask my surgeon, he prescribed it after reviewing my initial lab work.

    Regarding Vitamin Pills

    I just had my blood work done today along with my 24 hour urine so this may change by next doc visit: 2 gummy multi - costco brand 6 (250mg calcium citrate) three times a day (18 pills, 4500mg) - costco brand Zinc - 1 pill 3x a day 50mg Vitamin A 3 softgels (10000iu) 3x a day B12 - injection once a week Iron 1 pill 4 times a day - generic D2 1 x a day 50000iu D3 1x a day 2000iu Biotin 10000iu 1 pill 2x a day I don’t crush anything. Foamies suck!

Really? No ones ever told me that. I just take small baby sips.

    Foamies suck!

Sometimes warm liquid helps. I drink a lot of hot tea. Usually makes me feel better. Kind of flushes out the foamies.

    Anyone else financing?

Good luck on your journey and to answer your question, no sorry I didn’t finance. Insurance covered my surgeries.

    Anyone else financing?

Curiosity got me.... you want a lapband but your screen name is gastricsleeve2018?

Submitted to Insurance, now I wait...

The first weigh in at my first visit at my surgeons office is where the count started for me with Aetna. For my revision the approval happened within days of submission. The surgeon’s office doesn’t submit until you’re done with all the requirements of your plan. They should let you know what those are, or you can call and ask Aetna yourself. Approval is usually within 2 weeks of submission. Good luck to you. [emoji4]

Tome off work - how much??

I work from home 100% of the time, I was off for 5 weeks. (Scheduled for 6, but only took 5) I was a revision from band to SIPS. Those first two weeks I don’t think I could have worked, I was so exhausted.

    Pooping is stressful!

I logged in to check for you . They’re 39.99 for the two. Months ago when I purchased mine they were on sale for 10.00 off.

Just an FYI, got mine at costco and it came with two of them.

Was anyone an outpatient for surgery?

I was outpatient for both my lapband then for my revision band to SIPS. Not sure what enhanced recovery is though. But yes to the out patient question.

I sucked it up and bought it

I purchased mine at costco. It came with two and at the time was 10.00 off. Total steal. Can’t imagine life without it.

    Poll: What is your goal?

My 2nd time around I started at a HW of 242 at my revision consult. Which was actually heavier than my first wls back in 2010. SW was 226 on 8/8/17. My program never asked me to set a specific goal. If I went by the BMI chart, I should be 142. I had exactly 100lbs of excess weight to lose. My personal goal would be to get to 150. Just at the top of normal on the BMI chart for my height. As of this morning, I have 9lbs to go. My first NSV that really stood out was being able to wear riding boots that weren’t wide calf. Now I can cross my legs easily and even double cross my legs. Also, I tried on jeans on Sunday and was able to put on a size 8 without issue.

    Powerade Zero

I existed on Powerade zero for the first few months after surgery because my surgeon wanted me to drink less plain water and more liquids with electrolytes. I didn’t know what flavors they were but I drank the red, blue and purple ones. But the caveat is that they had to be ice cold to be tolerable.

    Stall finally broke!!

8/8/17 was my surgery (I’m a revision band to SIPS) but was at my hw of 242 at my first revision consultation. For my band back in 2010 my hw was 239 so I was even heavier for my revision [emoji22][emoji25] I was 226 on my surgery date though (8/8)

    Stall finally broke!!

I just wanted to say we are stat twins. My HW was 242 and I’m also 5’6. I wish I kept track of goals like you did!

    Broccoli slaw is the devil!

The devil has left the building! It was touch and go there for a while. My goodness I’ve never in my life had so much gas... it was like one after another after another... The good news is that the paint didn’t melt off the walls like I thought it would and the windows are still intact. Hahahaha
