Anyone get covered with Blue Cross insurance?

Ok. I will talk to my doctor about that. I did go on a diet before and got down to like 215, then I hit a platue and I couldnt loose anymore, then I gained it all back PLUS some more, in a few months. My heaviest was 260. Now its 280 now. I did the nutrasystem diet and I had a gym membership and I worked out 4 times a week. But I dont have the money for that stuff anymore. And my motivation was bigger because I was getting married. Do you think that would set me back for the insurance? Or should I leave that part out?

Anyone get covered with Blue Cross insurance?

I am on his insurance. Is that what you mean? When I told my doctor that I was thinking of getting this lapband she ran a bunch of blood test on me to see if I had anything wrong so we could say it was medically nessesary, but all my test came back good. So I dont know if the insurance will cover it. What do you think. I am 5'4" and weigh 280 pounds. My mother had gastric bypass. But I dont wanna do that. She was like 350# or something. And lots of my family are overwieght, so I guess it runs in the family.
  5. I have Anthem insurance now. I did have UHC, but my husbands work switched. UHC said it was not coverd. Has anyone had any luck with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Alliance PPO insurance?

My mom had the Duodenal Swich Gastric Bypass Surgery like 5 years ago or so. She has lost alot of wieght, but the recovering part after the surgery didn't look like much fun. I know no surgery is no fun, but it was bad for her. I dont want to go that far. Does anyone know if the recovery is anything like that? I am guessing its alot easier that the DS since I read you can go back to work in a coupld of days.

Hi. I am Heather and I am 27 years old. I have been overwieght ever since I had my son 7 Years ago. I have tryed many diets but I just seem to keep gaining it back. I need more drastic help. I just made an appointment with my family care doctor. I don't know where to start. I dont know anything about this Lap-Band, except it can help you loose wieght and it goes around your stomach. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice to offer?:welldone2: I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Does anyone know a good doctor here?
