  1. Thank you all for your responses. New day starting tomorrow. I will get rid of the ice cream and potatoes and start using my food diary again. Big question....if a band is adjusted just right how much should a person be able to eat at a meal?
  2. I am very frustrated.I was banded in October and have only lost about 20 lbs. I have to admit I do eat more potatoes and ice cream than I should but was under the impression when I inquired about the band before being banded that it would limit my intake. I am not hungry and do not eat much and most times nothing at all for breakfast but coffee, lunch I eat moderately and dinner I can eat a plate full of a small size plate (try not to do). Is this normal?
  3. I saw this 17 day diet on Dr. Phil today. Alot of people seem to be excited about it. I was banded in October, 2010 and have only lost 20 lbs. I am very frustrated. 5. What does it feel like to be at your sweet spot? I was banded with a realize band on October, 2010. I've had 5 fills so far and am at approx 7 cc's and still can eat almost a plate full of food. I have to stop myself. How much can you eat when you get to your sweet spot? Thanks for your help.
  6. I had my surgery on Oct.25 and haven't had a fill yet. I have no restriction so have to be real careful with amount of food and food choices. Can't wait to feel some restriction. I go back to the doctor on Friday hopefully I will get my first fill. Sounds like it will take 2 or 3 before feeling any restriction.
  7. I was banded on 10/25. My doctor highly recommended ordering a medical bracelet. Just wondering if most people were getting these?
  8. Was banded on 10/25 and have lost 11 lbs. Thought I would have lost more considering I've been on liquids for 3 weeks.
  9. I was out of work for 7 days.
  10. I had my surgery Monday, Oct. 25th. I also had a small hiatal hernia and the recovery seemed to be harder. I was in alot of pain for 2 days taking tylenol with codine every 3 hours. Did you find your recovery to be harder because of repairing the hernia?
  11. Just had my surgery on Monday and I had a small hernia. Recovery has been tough. More pain than I expected.
  12. Praying for you. I will be having mine on Monday Oct. 25th.
  13. My surgery is the 25th of October. Today was my first day on optifast and no caffine. Feeling very tired and hungry.
  14. My surgery date is October 25th. I am concerned because I have seen many people on here post about their pre-op diet. The only diet I was told to do was the 2 days before and that is a clear liquid diet. Did I miss something?
  15. My band surgery date is October 25th. I am excited and so ready to do this but have to admit a little nervous.
