  1. Absolutely STUNNING!!! I saw the after on OH (different befores, right?) and I will say it again, your LBD that you got for a STEAL needs to be posted in the LBD thread over in the success stories. I can't believe you are SO close to goal...HOW EXCITING!!!! :D

Thanks dear - just posted on the LBD thread... Yep - love this LBD... and it was a steal!

  2. Thanks everyone for the compliments! biggrin.gif

I know when I started this journey I was inspired by those who would post before/during and afters. The journey is not always easy - I try very hard to stick to my plan - 65-80 grams Protein per day, 60+ ounces H20 and I try to avoid junky carbs. Do I avoid all carbs no, no, no - but I do not over do it. Carbs are the devil for me!

I work out with a trainer 2-3 times per week - focusing on weight training - that is what attribute my arms to - I have very little lose skin there. I am also very luck to be tall 5;8" so that helped me - my weight was pretty evenly distributed over my entire body - the only issues I have is wrinkly lose skin on my lower tummy and my new pre-puberty boobies! tongue.gif My stomach does not have folds or flaps - that I know I would have had it I was 5 inches shorter...but it does bother me...lots. I will look into a mini Tummy Tuck once I have maintained for awhile.

Thanks again for the support everyone. This forum has been my #1 support system. I found my sleeve sister on this site - and we met in Mexico and had surgery the same day....love you Davida! And to all the others here who have been so supportive and honest - thank you! I wish I had the opportunity to meet some of you personally one day - you are all such an inspiration to me!

OH - PS - the Little Black Dress.... Calvin Klein size 8 - got it at the outlet store - tag said $148 - I paid $8!! Lol I love clothes shopping now and all the wonderful options!

  3. Beautiful inside and out! What an amazing blessing we have received! You inspire me - and I am so happy that you continue to post here and inspire all of us in transition!

I am fighting these last 10 pounds - just 7.2 to go - but they are slow! I now Celebrate half pound losses! I never take this foregranted and know I have to "work it" to succeed.

Thanks for keeping us focused and inspiring us!

  4. Girlfriend you rock! SO inspired by you and proud of you! I was just beginning my research on going to Mexico for my sleeve when I started to follow your journey. - You have been there for me the entire time like a great mentor and coach for me and many!

You are an incredible woman - and I am so thankful you shared your journey with all of us! You have answered so many questions of mine and I greatly appreciate that. As I get nearer to my goal and starting to consider plastics more and more.... I know you will continue to share your experience with us (me) and that gives me great peace of mind. Thank you ---- MMMMWWWAAAHHH big hugs!

  5. I went to Mexico as well - Dr Ramos Kelly and paid $5300. I think it is now $5600 or so. Wonderful experience here. I am 48 and feel the best I have felt since my 20's! Surgery day was Jan 6, 2011 - today I am almost 8 month out and I am 9.6lbs from my final goal! Went from size 16 to an 8 and feel I have been blessed by having this surgery! If you have questions send me a message - I highly recommend Dr Kelly. I was well taken care of from the minute my plane landed in San Diego!

    Best wishes!

  6. Congrats to you! What was your secret? Are you working out? When was your surgery date (how long did it take to meet goal?)

I just updated my ticker and realized I am a half a pound from a normal BMI too! I will be 8 months out on Sept 6th and was hoping to reach goal by the end of October... I have 9.6 pounds to to go! It has really gotten harder these last 2 months - in August I only lost one pounds so it is really creeping slowly now. Hoping to still reach my goal before the snow flies here!

Again - congrats on your amazing transformation - this journey is a blessing to all of us!

  7. IRENE...and I am not talking about that damn hurricane! YOU my friend look amazing! I am now convinced that I need some "work" mostly Tummy Tuck and implants. My legs have always been pretty long - and they are holding their own on this journey ( I wore a short skirt last week and several friends even said they looked great - thank you Lord!).

But my tummy and boobs most definately look like someone came along and deflated them! Flat lifeless boobs and wrinkly smooshie tummy -Yuck. Although I will say its much better than all those lbs I lost! Thank you for sharing your journey with us girl - you make it so much easier for all of us to know what to expect. I am going to be going to a couple of consultations in Sept and Oct. I want to lose these last 9 pounds and be at goal - before I proceed. Not sure if I can afford to do all at once or one at a time. But I do know this... I am going to do this - a reward to myself!
