You crack me up! Lets see if we can get a 2-4-1 deal when we are both ready (savings wise) those prices look alot better than anything I am seeing in Minnesota. And I imagine there are lot more Tummy tucks done in CA than MN!
OH MY LORD! I just got home and got a coupon card from Beverly Hills Physicians...coincidence or not??? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Irene - you are already my mentor and you may not even know it - you my friend are amazing and an inspiration for all! So while I might already be at goal - you are still my mentor so officially sign me up!
You can guide me through my future plastics/lipo - and help me stay on track and at or below goal. Sending hugs and love your way this holiday season!

I want one too! Currently 4 pounds below goal - but only been a goal for about a month now - so I am goin gto wait until I have maintained for at least 6 months or so - then I am going for it! I am tired of the lose baggy skin - I dont have any real rolls - just floppy lose skin...ish.
I am so ashamed at what I did to my body - every time I look at it -it plays with my mind. I think I look pretty good in my clothes but when I look in the mirror after a shower... I see an old wrinkled mess from my belly button down. But I will keep working away and saving and hopefully I will get a Tummy Tuck next year!

Anything is possible! I am completely in awe of your success so far - amazing! I truely believe that our bodies will lead us where the want to go - with our tiny tummy tool! I made goal just short of 10 months out - and have continued losing. I am a bit scared to set a "new goal" I have no idea of where / when this will end.
For now I am just enjoying the ride! Give thanks this week for all that you have achieved. Enjoy!

OMG thanks for sharing - you constantly challenge me to keep going! I must say I am so thankful this Thanksgiving that I found you Irene and all my friends here on VST. You are amazing and I cannot wait to see you in those "0"'s! You will do it - no doubt!

That is an awesome NSV! Congrats to you - makes me want to run out and buy pantyhose just to see what size I am now!

TAI29 - Excellent advise - also each employers plan can also have different exclusions if they are self-funded large employer group. I am in the insurance industry - and know self-funded large employer groups can "pcik and chose" what they want to cover when it comes to "non-essential health benefits" -

Please let this skin bouncing back thing be true - I am going to wait at least 6 months to make a decision on what to do with my tummy now that I am at goal. I wish my boob would bounce back (inflate) But do not think that will be possible.... will consider augmentation and Tummy Tuck if needed next spring. For now I am just enjoying the new me size 6 and smalls.... still losing and wondering where I will end up.

I had my surgery on Jan 6 2011, and so far have lost 86 pounds. Goal was 155 - currently 154.2! I love my sleeve

I used Dr Kelly and went directly with Trish who is on site in Mexico and offices right in the hospital where surgery was preformed. She met me at the door - and was there for me the whole time. She coordinates/schedules for several surgeons now. Her website and contact information is www.wls4betterlife.com

I am another Dr Kelly patient. I used Trish - she is right there in Mexico and offices right in the hospital where the surgery is performed. www.wls4betterlife.com. I highly recommend Trish because she is onsite and takes excellent care of you before and after. I am 10 months out and still talk to her at least monthly.
No matter what you do make sure you do your research - there are my options. I would not change a single thing about my journey so far - from surgeon, hospital and coordinator. I have had an excellent experience.

OK people.... it took time to put the pounds on and you know what I am going to say now..... it takes time to take off! Your body is adjusting to this amazing change that is happening. I promise you will continue to lose. I was stuck all of June, July and August. Seriously lost only 4-5 pounds those 3 months. Lost a couple in Sept then along comes October and 6 pounds come off....what? Yep GOAL met.
Remember to measure yourself and continue to drink enough Water, eat enough Protein and for me increasing my carbs slightly (less than 20 extra per day) always gets me moving. I am 10 months out - made goal in 9 and most of it came off in first 4 months - then again in last 2. Your body just needs to adjust and settle a bit then it will pick up again. Remember to be thankful each and every day for how far you have come.
This is an amazing journey we are on. Each person has a different story and experience. We are all on the same path now - how we got here is from many different paths/walks of life. Stay strong, stay focused and be proud of where you have been and where you are going.
Hugs

Well I know were you are all coming from! I too was stuck - I was sleeved on Jan 6, 2011 - I was doing great losing about 5-6 pounds per month and then whoa the brakes got stuck and for June - Sept I lost a total of 8 pounds. I am not sure what happened (I really did not change a thing) but my body decided to move again an in October I lost almost 6 pounds and drum roll...... :Banane46: I made my final goal on November 1st! Whoot!
Stay the course my friends - I have found that adding Water (about 16 more ounces per day) does help me lose weight. Focus on Proteins and water....I know - you have heard it before - and it's true! Now that I am at goal (actually under today) - I am letting my body tell me where / when it is done. If I did not lose another pound I would be happy - but I don't think I am done.
A little inspiration for you - I went from a size 18/16 to an 8/6 I am 5'8" started at almost 240 and weigh 154.8 today. Where I will end I do not know - but do not let the scale drive you crazy! :willy_nilly: Stay focuses and doing what you should be doing... Enjoy your journey - we are all unique and have a different story, approach and experience. God bless!

Congrats on your decision. I had VSG with Dr Kelly on Jan 6, 2011 - and it has been the best gift I ever gave myself! I made my final goal yesterday! Less than 10 months out and at goal - amazing.
I flew out on on Weds Jan 5th - had surgery on the 6th (thurs) and flew home on the 10th (Monday). I think I could have come home Sunday but it was nice to have one more day of Trish and Dr Kelly visiting me at Hotel Lucerna and taking care of me! I traveled alone - no problem what so ever. I was never really alone unless I wanted to be.
My only suggestion is take your time and take care of YOU. If you are going to get better rest at the hotel than at home (where the kids are) then stay until Monday. Dr Kelly really can tell you what he requires and what is optimal for best results.
I wish you the very best - let me know if you have any questions- Enjoy your journey!

Booo - didn't mean to scare you on Halloween
I a mean boo - I missed my Halloween goal by exactly 1 pound. My goal was 155 and today I am 156.0 - BUT that means I am only 1 pound away from my final goal of 155! WHOOT! Hope to be there by my birthday on Nov 17th - that was my target date for making my final goal. So I think I can do it - one pound in the next 17 days??? - I can do that!
-
Sending prayers and cyber hugs to you! The journey is amazing - rest well and take care of yourself - soon you will be on the loser bench. Please say hi to Trish and Dr Kelly for me - Kim from Minnesota. I was sleeved there on Jan 6th - I am one pound away from my final goal - truly a blessing!
God bless!

I has vsg on Jan 6, 2011 with Dr Kelly. My hubby did not go but was super supportive. I am 2 pounds away from my goal. Let me know if I can talk to your husband or if he would like tow
Speak with mine!

Good luck to you dear - all I can say is I too went to Mexico....and had surgery with Dr Kelly and have not and will not regret the decision ever...EVER. I feel Dr kelly was an amazing surgeon, wonderful Christian man who held my hand and said a prayer before surgery and was there when I woke up. He called on me at the hotel every day and night. I never would have that kind of care in the US
His assistant Trish was so kind and caring - I am 9 months out and she just called me last week to see how I am doing. I consider her a friend. I am 2.8 pounds away from my final goal of 155. Stay the course friend. Sometimes we have to be strong and do what we really know is the right thing for us personally.
I love this old saying:
You can never cross the ocean, unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore!
Hang in there my friend! Sending you prayers and cyber hugs.

My favorite is Jay Robb - Love all flavors but usually get vanilla because I can throw it in my Vita-mix with so many options...
