  1. I haven't been on here in many years. I joined back when I had my surgery in 2006. I lost 169lbs (made it to my goal) without actually having a fill. Since my surgery I have had five children, so I have gained back over 50lbs. My youngest is eight months old, and I am done having children, so I started back losing weight two weeks ago and I am almost 10lbs down. The lapband isn't for everyone, but I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

  2. I have United Healthcare and they paid for everything. When I go for appointments and my fills, all that I have to pay is my twenty dollar co-pay. It only took a few weeks for me to get my surgery. All I had to do was have a stress test, blood work, and get a paper from my doctor with my weight every year for five years to prove that I have been overweight for a good chunk of my life.

I am not sure if yours will be different, but I hope that helps.

  3. I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name is Andrea and I am nineteen years old.

I had my lap band surgery on 8/25/06 and I had my first fill on 11/08/06. So far I have lost a little over thirty pounds, and I still have a hundred more to go before I reach my goal weight of 175lbs.

Thats about it for me, I hope to actually be an active member here.
