  1. I'm really happy for you. I don't really know about band sizes, sorry I can't help you there, but I did have my surgery through LapBandSolutions and it was a wonderful experience. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.

    AUGUST Bandsters

I was banded August 25th, 2006. I have lost 67 lbs so far, and I had one fill back in December, but it was taken out a few months back. I am still losing though, so I'm not worried about it.
  3. I was about 335 (my highest) in the first one, and about 255 in the second one. I am now 240, and hopefully I will have more pictures up soon.

    Age when banded?

I had my surgery when I was 18 (a month before my birthday), I am 19 now and it has really helped me. I would have gotten it at 17, but I had to wait until I was 18.

    New Member - I'm So Excited !

I have United Healthcare and they paid for everything. When I go for appointments and my fills, all that I have to pay is my twenty dollar co-pay. It only took a few weeks for me to get my surgery. All I had to do was have a stress test, blood work, and get a paper from my doctor with my weight every year for five years to prove that I have been overweight for a good chunk of my life. I am not sure if yours will be different, but I hope that helps.
  6. I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name is Andrea and I am nineteen years old. I had my lap band surgery on 8/25/06 and I had my first fill on 11/08/06. So far I have lost a little over thirty pounds, and I still have a hundred more to go before I reach my goal weight of 175lbs. Thats about it for me, I hope to actually be an active member here.
