To tell or not to tell...
Hello! I told my parents, close friends, my boss, and a handful or work friends who I trust. I work in healthcare and I was worried I'd get some judgey responses so I wanted to be able to explain my thoughts which is why I didn't tell everyone. Everyone I have told has been super supportive, the more people you tell the more opportunity you have to garner support.

Getting in protein on pureé?
Hello all, I'm post op day 6, started purée foods. I can really only tolerate flavorless protein powder, the other make me nauseous. I've been having purée tuna, chicken, bean soups, broths, tomato soup and adding protein powder to those. Any suggestions for recipes or ideas for high protein foods you ate while eating purée foods??

Gas post sleeve?
Hello all, I found this site a few weeks before I got my gastric sleeve and it's been so helpful. I got my surgery jan 29. I've lost 50 lbs pre op, haven't weighed in post op. All seems to be going well, No nausea really or excessive pain. My only issue has been gas. The post op abdominal gas is nearly gone but I notice I can hear my stomach/ GI system after I eat very loudly. It's even woken me at night. Almost sounds like a large drain. I don't know if it's still residual gas or if this is a normal thing?? Thanks :-)

Any interest in clothing exchange?
Hey fellas! I'm new around here, I get my sleeve jan 29!!!! I've already lost 24lbs and I start my pre op diet in 3 days. I have seen a lot of women like to exchange clothing as they lose weight, so why not us?!?! We could exchange anything nice worth exchanging like jeans, button downs etc. thanks!!!

How to start the process?
thanks for the info. I wasnt sure if I needed a primary care to sign off or not since surgeons are doctors lol. Currently, I have university (college) insurance and I dont have a family doctor. So I was worried that would present an issue. And yes I will have to check into whether its covered to begin with. Hope so, I have heard good things from anthem bc/bs:tongue_smilie:

How to start the process?
I am starting literally from the start. I am getting new insurance which is good :smile2:. I wanted to know how to get the process started. Do I need to get an order from the dr saying banding is necessary first? Then, if its approved find a surgeon? I was just wondering what the first steps are. I have done my research and I think this could really help me a lot. thanks!
