  1. I wonder why it is. It's happening to me too. Anyone know the technical reason why we burp more after the sleeve?
  2. I just can't imagine why someone would want to suffer with a bypass when VSG is an option. In the worst case, VSG can be revised into a bypass. It's a no-brainer.
  3. So, you had problems after surgery and it got better?
  4. I'm finding that I'm lactose intolerant too. I hope it's temporary!
  5. In my program I don't move to milk until the 10th day (which is today for me).
  6. Me too - very weak. Trying to keep up on fluids and protein shakes.
  7. I will start religiously using stool softener. This morning, I got some idea of what women go through in labor. Sorry if that's TMI.
  8. I set them and click Save but the change never commits. Anyone else get this?
  9. They gave me gas-x drops immediately when I was out of surgery.
  10. I see so many different diet advancements. I'd appreciate to see what others' are. Follow mine ala: Day 1 - 7: Clear liquids Day 7 - 10: Add Protein shakes Day 10 - 14: Full liquids Week 3: Some mushy food (oatmeal, cream of wheat, banana, fruit) Week 4: Add well cooked veg, Beans, lo-fat cheeses Week 5: Add egg, lo-fat crackers, fresh fruit, Protein Bars Week 6: Add cooked vegetables, canned tuna, crab meat, Cereal and cereal bars Week 7: Add salads, lean ground meats
  11. Would it show in an x-ray without taking drinking some kind of radioactive liquid?
  12. I'm so curious to see what my stomach looks like now. I'm considering getting an X-Ray to see it (would that work?). Any ever view their sleeve somehow?
  13. FYI - there is no dumping syndrome with the sleeve.
  14. If it fills you up fast isn't that a good thing? That suggests to me that you'd eat less.
  15. WhoozisAnyway - you say "yummy". Which shakes are you using? The ones I've had are merely tolerable.
  16. I hate yogurt. Day 10 is coming up and it gets added to my menu. I'm dying for new foods. Any suggestions for a substitute?
  17. I didn't have a pre op diet. I ate everything in sight until 8 hours before my surgery!
  18. I just tried Better Than Bouillon and it's really good! Much better than a lot of the canned/packaged broths I've tried. FYI
  19. Walk a lot and use Gas-x. That's helping me!
  20. I'm down 15 lbs since my surgery last Monday (Aug 27th). That seems like too much weight to lose in a week. Is this normal?
  21. I got approved for a Lap Band years ago with a BMI of 35 because I had co-morbidities.
  22. I can't believe how easy this has all been. The hiatal hurts a bit throughout the day - pressure for a few secs. My belly button is very sore and it hurst when I cough. That's it.
  23. Maybe I'm crazy, but I had my doc fix both my Hiatal and Umbilical Hernia when getting sleeved. Anyone else have both these done?
  24. I didn't go until day 3. I'm going once a day now (I'm on day 5). But without solid food I don't expect much.
