  4. Thank you so much....seeing others like yourself conquering their goals has inspired me....even now that I'm there....still need motivation to keep it off. Compliments are tough for me still, but I'm starting to love them :o) I hid for so long, time to break out of my shell and love who I see. Keep up the awesome work, you inspire many!!

  5. I love your posts and you give such honest advice! I love it. You look amazing and you inspire alot of people! Just wanted to say thank you :o)

  6. I'm quite shocked that a Dr. will do a Gastric Sleeve with your BMI only being 33?? Best wishes to you.

  7. Hey there....Doc told me to wait until my appt. on Nov. 1st. They had to do alot of removal of scar tissue and such...so I guess he wants me to take it easy. I was in surgery for 4.5 hours for my slipped band, so I'm going to do exactly as he says...lol...I don't wanna go through that again. I did however get the ok to walk upto 5 miles a day. We are on our way :o)

  8. Thank you so much :o)

  9. Thank you for the picture comment...this has been quite the adventure. You asked if I excercise...ABSOLUTELY, it has become my new addiction. Prior to my band slipping when I had the flu, I had been training for my first 1/2 Marathon...sadly the Doc said I can't participate so soon after surgery :o( I back up to walking between 2-5 miles a day, depending on my strength. I'll get there again, I know it! Good luck with your journey...stay true to yourself.

  10. Thank you Cindy....Band slipped and apparently I had alot of scar tissue, so my Doc said to stay on liquids for 6 weeks. Next week I at least get do introduce pureed food, this week is all protein drinks. Toughest thing I've ever done in my life. I am married and my daughter who is 21 just moved back home...but they are both very supportive. I couldn't do this without them. Thank you for the prayers. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~Christy

  15. Hi Laysee...The hardest part for me is what I'm currently going through right now. Banded for a year and a half, following everything exactly as I should and excercising. I have learned to LOVE the gym and some might say I go a little overboard with it...but I wouldn't be as successful without it. Anyways, two weeks ago I came down with the Flu and with all the vomitting my Band Slipped, requiring surgery to reattach and reposition it. I'm on liquids for 5 more weeks...which is the hardest for me. If I could go back two weeks, I would go to the Doctors immediately to get my band unfilled while I was Ill...but I thought I was invicible. The past 18 months had been perfect..so it couldn't happen to me. I'm not trying to scare you, just make people aware that it can happen. I still wouldn't change a thing. I love my band and its been LIFE CHANGING. Good luck on your journey to a new you!!

  16. Aww thank you Oh and boy do I excercise...a little slowed down right now. I just had surgery on Tues to fix a band slip (I was terribly ill with the Flu) so I'm taking it slow right now. Prior to this happening I was training 6 days a week...moving towards my 1st ever 1/2 Marathon here in Seattle. I won't be able to compete, Doc said its too soon after this little bump in the road...but I'm looking into doing the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon. Fitness goals keep me going and I'm so scared of what my "skin" would look like without working out. I do a combination of walking/jogging/elliptical/stationary bike/and weights. I goto our local YMCA when the weather here in our area is cranky. I think I have a phobia against rain...thank goodness there is a gym close by. When I start hitting plateau's (which I've had a few along the way) I really start looking at measurements...anything to keep that postive motivation going.

  17. Congrats!! You look amazing...keep up the great work!!

  22. Hi...I'm also in Bellevue and Dr. Nguyen is who took me on as a patient...when everyone else wanted to look the other way (My originally surgery was in Las Vegas) He is a phenominal Doc...and if you want to talk to someone about having the Lapband...look me up. I've had mine for 18 months now and this is the best thing I've ever done for myself.
