Hi my friends I have really been considering having my arms done! they make me sad and I really want to be able to wear tank tops or short sleeves without looking like im going to fly away =( I would love as much input on this subject that I can get....thank you!

Yes at first they said it was a gallstone stuck in my bile duct so they went down my throat and there were no gallstones after 2 more days in the hospital they decided to remove my gallbladder I thought everything was better until I tried to eat again and the pain came back full force. They said when they removed the gall bladder a stone must have dislodged and became stuck in my bile duct, they had to go down my throat again to remove it!!! After a 6 day stay in the hospital =( they pain finally went away!!! Everytime I went to the ER they wanted to blame the pain on my lapband not once did they every check my gallbladder the ER's around my neck of the woods are not lapband friendly!!

Anytime I hear stomache aches or any type of pain in the stomache I advise everyone to have there gall bladder checked out. My pain started in the upper part of my stomache after I ate almost anything and the pain would go away after about an hour or two that would happen like 2x a month. Eventually the pain got so bad I refused to eat anything.....bottom line they did an ultrasound and it was my gallbladder.

I started out with discomfort like that around my 10 month post-op it would come and go, until the pain got so unbearable I would have rather gave birth naturally to ten babies!!! It was my gall bladder which is very common when losing weight. If the pain doesnt go away or it gets worse ask for an ultrasound of your gall bladder you dont want to go through the torture I went through for months!!

Ok so I spoke to the Doctors Office she said that it sounds like the nerve is rubbing on the diaphram and it may just be that I need to be unfilled a little bit. Also, we've noticed that when I am menstrating I experience tightening of the band so both of them together can be the reason for the weird pain that I am experiencing. She wants me to do liquidy foods for the next couple days to see if that helps calm everything down.....please let me know what your Dr says

I got banded in November of 2010 so it's been awhile and I would occassionally get the pain when I ate something I shouldnt have ate or over ate but it would go away within an hour or so. However the past 3 or 4 days its just kinda there, after reading some of the your responses Im getting kinda worried. I will be calling my Doctors office today. Thank you for all your responses they are greatly appreciated.

Ok so I am hoping I am not the only one....Everytime I eat lately I get this weird pain in my left shoulder/neck area and it generates all the way down my arm into my hand. I find myself constantly rubbing my shoulder and hand hoping the pain/irritation goes away! Is anyone else experiencing this???

Thank you!! I love coming on here and getting fed back from those who know exactly what I am going through....I had a .5cc fill and it has made a huge difference in my portions. I also changed gyms where there is more variety so wish me and the scale luck

Hello my friends I am in desperate need of some encouragement. I was on a steady weightloss and in the past 3 months I have hit a rut I cant lose a pound. I am working out and eating right. I am scheduled for a fill this week so I am hoping that it helps but till then HELP!!

Im still a slow starter with the gym....I just dont like it too much! but I do set my car on autopilot to curves 3 days a week no matter what. I love curves in 30 minutes I hit my target burn major calories and tone. Since I started I have lost 18 inches.

Just wanted to share one of the best decisions I ever made a year ago today!!! I couldnt be more happy with the journey I have taken this past year and I can only hope for many more to come!!!!

I didnt have them done at the same time, but my gall bladder surgery was a peice of cake compared to the lapband surgery! I think its a wise decision to get it over with at the same time because the pain I endured from the gall bladder was worse then giving birth times 10!!!

Thank you Acadia. They did take liquid out because they assumed it was my lapband making me so sick! I think they took out more then they said they did so it just completely through me off.

I had my Lapband surgery in November 2010. I recently had to have my gall bladder removed. Has anyone who had to have there gall bladder removed after lapband surgery had problems with fills? I was at my sweet spot prior to the surgery which was in August, I was losing 10lbs a month and now I feel like I am back to square one! any input would be greatly appreciated =)

What a meanie!! He should have never spoke down to you like that. I saw that you've lost a total of 17lbs and considering all of the drama in your life thats excellent!!! Im a slow loser but as long as Im not gaining weight then thats a step in the right direction.....So keep your head up and think skinny

When I do have a drink I stick with excuse my french Skinny Bitches! thats what there called....lol, but its just Vodka with water & of course lemon and lime. If made right it simply tastes like lemon water.

I had those pains that your referring to in the middle of my stomach that made me feel like dying! My doctor recommended an acid reflux medicine which helped a lot. Also they have the Special K Protein waters that taste way better then the shakes. Good luck and I hope you figure out whats going on.

I use it occassionally after fills when I go back on my straw diet and soft foods, just to help curb my appetitite and give me some energy!

I feel all your pain!! Just stay positive and as long as your thyroid levels are normal due to your medication, treat it like you dont have a thyroid problem! thats what ive done. My surgery was Nov 2nd and my weight loss is very slow but all I care about is the numbers going down not up!! Slow and steady wins the race =)
