  2. I was telling my family at Thanksgiving how I wanted to be able to rip out the dang thing and put it aside just for one day. But in reality, it's just not the way I am anymore. I enjoyed my mini-portion I think more than they did their gorging. My weight loss is really slow compared to people in my support group. Yesterday, when I went in to get a fill I was dang happy I lost 16 pounds since my fill in June. That's 16 pounds gone that will never come back. I've lost 60 pounds since September of 2010 and I couldn't be more tickled. Don't focus on what isn't happening, but focus on what is. If you remove the band, there's that chance you'll gain that hard 60 back. Good luck to you! Take care, Julia

  13. It's my 1 yr bandiversary and I got stuck eating lunch. You would think after all this time, I would know how to freakin' eat! Ha! J.
  14. When I plateau, I log my food on myfitnesspal.com. I do it for a couple of days and it makes me realize that even though I'm eating healthy, sometimes I eat more calories than I think. I'll change up my diet and continue to log my food for a bit to make sure I'm on track. I'm guilty with not logging my food everyday, but I'm really a busy person and can't do it. But, I do it when I'm plateau'ing for sure. J.

  18. It's funny about the milestones. At 50#s, I bought a Harley I think milestones are great and you should reward yourself even if it's little things. I have to figure out what I'm going to do for 75#s. I don't think I can outdo the Harley though Take care and congrats! Julia
  19. Julia checking in. Down to 169 Lost 2 pounds this week.
  20. Julia checking in... *sigh* stayed the same at 171. Two weeks in a row. My bandiversary is coming up on the 28th. I wanted to be at 60 pds at least. The way things are crawling, that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Sorry, just feeling down today
  21. Julia checking in... Sorry for being late I stayed the same at 171
  22. That's cool! I love riding. The course is great and you learn a lot. Advise though: when you ready to purchase your first bike, get something small like a 250cc (honda rebel, yamaha virago). I bought a harley right off the bat and still have yet to ride it comfortably. Now, that I've got a smaller bike, I'll work my way up to the bigger one
  23. There is this one guy in my office that makes me blush. You know the one; ultra good looking, nice, suave, the whole package. Anyway, he's been commenting on my weight loss for the last couple of weeks. Well yesterday, I was walking in a door as he was walking out. He stopped as he was walking out and was like 'Hi Julia' as I was walking away to my desk. He didn't just walk out quickly, he paused for a minute. I think he was checking out my fanny :blushing: I just said hi and kept walking. It's nice to have the fellas take notice again. J.
