Mellifritts, With regard to eating and drinking at the same time, I heard that was not allowed with any wls?? Obviously that is not true, wonder if that is the case with the Vertical Sleeve Plication?? With regard to having issues with over eating, any recommendations with how to "deal with" that? I am open to anything that will set me up for being successful!!

I have heard good things about Dr. Rod and was considering using him however I was concerned about going to Juarez because of the violence (killings--refer to US travel advisory). He also goes to INT in TJ, MX on certain days(but I wasn't sure about the facility/accomdatations?), that could be a choice?? I did speak with both Teri and Joyce with Beliteweight and both were very informative and nice. Good luck!! Keep posting:)

I'm scheduled for surgery 10/4/10 too:) I hope I'm doing everything right?? My pre-op diet is 2 protien shakes, 4lbs green veggies steamed or salad with wishbone spritzer spray for dressing, 3 oz of fish or chicken baked or grilled and for a snack I'm allowed sugarfree popcicles and jello. Who is doing your surgery? What procedure are you doing? I'm doing GSP.

Congrats on the WL!!! Thanks so much for the post. I'm definitely leaning to the plication especially now knowing that you were able to have such good results with a BMI of 36. My BMI is 39.5 so I should be able to have results simular to yours;) YEAH!!!

I'm trying to make a decision on procedure and doctor. I'm considering VSG and VSP(plication). Not sure which one??? Also, I've been told that Juarez and Monteray are the "hot" spots with violence right now?? What have you heard?

How was the INT hospital? And did you have sleeve or plication?

Having a real hard time deciding between the two procedures. I really want to make the right choice and I'm not sure what that is? My BMI is 39.5. I'm very interested in knowing what and how others are doing with the plication procedure?? Is the weight loss as significant as with VSG??:thumbup: Need help please! Also, I'm considering Dr. Corvala (Hospital Angeles, TJ, Dr. Ortiz(Obesity Control Center, TJ) and Dr.Jose Rodriguez, INT in TJ MX and Star Medica in Juarez) and possibly Dr. Aceves. Who's the best at which procedure??

What procedure are you getting? Who is your Dr? Congrats on being so proactive on hiring a nutritionist and personal trainer. You've inspired me to check into doing the same. How did you go about selecting and/or finding your nutritionist and trainer? I wasn't planning on getting my blood work done prior to going because it is included in the price and I've been told that regardless if you've already done it, they will still want to do their own?? Should I do it anyway and if so why? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure I cover all bases:thumbup1:
