Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

Nevermind Gordita I just saw your signature line. Give your fill some time because for me sometimes it will take a few days to kick in. If you're still not feeling the restriction then see about getting another fill. Hope this helps.

La Gordita: My doctor says 60 grams of protein or more a day. I wouldn't worry too much it took me several fills to get to the point of good restriction. When was your last fill and how much is currently in your band?

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Ok I'm so getting onto this thread. I've been following the WW points system the last 2 weeks and find it pretty easy to follow. I definately need a boost in weight loss with lapband. I haven't been to my lapband doctor in 3 years so I have no idea how my band is doing (I'm self pay) I'm finally going this Thursday and I'm so ready to find out what's wrong with my band. I initially lost 80 lbs and now am only 10 lbs less than I was before I got banded. I feel like a total failure and do not want to give up. I refuse to go back to the way I was. I met my fiance almost 2 years ago and the lbs slowly started creeping back and now here I am. He's lost 20 lbs due to finding out he has diabetes and cutting out the sodas. I feel very depressed about it and really need the motivation and help from you guys.
  10. Ok, I was banded November 2006 at 300 lbs and lost 80 lbs. Well here I am now up to 290 and it is just depressing. I feel no restriction but yet the doctor says im completely filled to the max. I'm really interested in getting the sleeve because I've heard a lot of good things about it versus the band. I was self pay for the lapband and am getting married so will probably try to see if my husbands insurance will cover the revision since I was self pay. Anyone know anything about insurance companies and revisions? He has aetna insurance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Dry Skin

Hey everyone. I've noticed that ever since a couple months after my surgery, my stomach gets very dry and scalley for some reason. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Thank you all for your support.

    Banded and gaining

Thanks to everyone for their input. I'm now getting worried about insurance companies in general with this new health reform bill that's being passed. I wonder if they're going to want to cover anyone anymore.

If you don't mind me asking, how much is the revision going to cost out of pocket?

    Phentermine

Well I've lost 4 lbs in 3 days. I think it works pretty good. I've known several people who it continues to work for atleast a year. It just depends on the person. It works different for everyone.
  15. I have never had a leak. I've gone to 2 different fill doctors and they both have told me I'm filled to the max. Actually I'm at 4.25cc in a 4 cc band. The elasticity of the band allows you to have more fill than it's made for. I just haven't been back because the 2nd doctor was very negative towards me and told me I would never lose more than 100 lbs and it really upset me. I've known several people who have lost more but the trick is keeping it off. That's the hardest part ever.
  16. I've taken several diet pills in my day. Ephedra mostly. I'm used to that shaky feeling. My band is filled to the max and I'm not dialated. I can eat anything. I never get stuck or throw up.
  17. I initally lost 80 lbs with the band and have gained 40 lbs back over the course of about a year. I'm starting on Phentermine tomorrow to see how well it works for me. I've never been on Phentermine before but anxious to see what it does for me.
  18. Yes you definately have to have fun before getting into a commited relationship. You learn so much about yourself when you date around. Good luck to you girl! Keep me posted. P.S. Most guys I met on the internet did only want one thing so be careful.

  19. I heard that Dr. Stephanie didn't do fills under fluro. Good to hear she is now. I desperately need my band checked up. I may be dialated. I'm currently filled to the max in my band and have no more room left for a fill.
  20. I'm so glad to hear that. Dang girl, 8? You're rakin them boys in. Best of luck to you. I found my boyfriend on singlesnet.com and we're going on 8 months. He is the love of my life and I'm so thankful for that website. keep me posted!

    A thread for Single Bandsters

The doctor he was going to was supposedly a "liver specialist" but he acted like he didn't know anything so he has to find a new doctor. They wanted to do a colonoscopy and wanted $1,000 up front to do it.

    A thread for Single Bandsters

Hey Candace. I used to post on this board a lot back when I was single and thought the exact way you did. I had to date a lot of duds but finally found my soulmate on an internet dating website. I wish you all the luck in the world and you will find someone who can accept you for you.
  23. Life is going absolutely perfect for me! I have been with my boyfriend for almost 6 months and I'm so truly in love! How are you? How's the band treating you?

  24. I'm a little worried that I'm pregnant. Does anyone take Loestrin 24 or know anyone that has? I just got on the pill a month ago and I'm on my 2nd day of inactive pills and no period yet.... Should I be worried?

    Throwing up ?

This can be a good and bad thing. I've felt "nauseous" and having that feeling that I need to throw up, then nothing will come, just dry heaving. With the lapband you can't physically vomit because your band won't allow anything to come back up through it that has already made it in the lower part of the stomach. It's a terrible feeling but for me, the dry heaves only last a couple of minutes and the feeling is then gone. Hope this helps.
