Thanks I will keep having my 60g of protein. Today is day 2 on pre-op for me and it really isn't bad at all! I could do this!

Day 2 for me as well. I'm drinking my water & eating my string cheese (I get 1 string cheese and 1 egg per day). I'll have my shake for lunch later

I go in tomorrow morning for my pre-op testing at the hospital..I know I shouldn't be nervous about it but I am. They are doing an Upper GI, blood work, stomach & chest x-ray, EKG and Echocardiogram. Only 13 more days until surgery and I can't wait!

I really like the Matrix 5.0 powders, they mix up really well and actually taste good!

Today was day 1 on the pre-op diet for me and it actually wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I only had 2 shakes today, lots of Water and 2 eggs. My surgeon said that I can either have 1 egg & 1 cheese stick or 2 of either one. I'm planning on trying to get in my 4 shakes tomorrow but that might be kinda hard since I'll be getting my pre-op testing done from 7:30 am - who knows when! We can do it! Only 13 more days until surgery for me!

My surgeon wants me to lose 16-20 lbs by 3/21, and I will be starting my full liquid diet tomorrow. Will I be able to get it off in time? I have a weigh in on Thursday 3/10, one on 3/16 and my final weigh in with the surgeon on 3/18 I'm just scared I won't be able to lose enough in time

I was approved for surgery by United Healthcare and scheduled for surgery on 3/21! I go tomorrow to sign the paperwork for the hospital! Only 18 more days until I am officially sleeved and my whole life will change!

I have a surgeon fee of $4500 that I need to pay the surgeon within the next few days (2 weeks before surgery) and a $1011 co-pay for the hospital but that covers my one night in the hospital also. It is expensive but will be so worth it in the end!

Okay, well I know that I requested one from him after seeing my coordinator. I guess I'll wait a couple more days and then e-mail her to find out how the process is going.

Hi everyone I had my psych evaluation today and talked to the dietitian on 2/14. My psych eval went amazing, she said that I was the ideal candidate for the gastric sleeve and that her report would be on my coordinators desk in the morning. Is there anything else that I'm missing before my coordinator can turn in my request to insurance? I know my coordinator is gathering my 5 year weight history from my previous doctors right now.
