  1. My banded date is 9/8/06 JOANNE M HOLL
  2. Thanks! Even to a 7 year old Bander this is very useful.
  3. That is the pits. Maybe type up something with lawyer & a Notary Public explaining what happened & send it to the insurance company. Good luck. . .do your best by eating 1/2 the quantity of food & walk, walk & walk in the interim and you will be starting down your road to good health. Good luck!
  4. HI, I think you are making the right decision. I was told I could have it removed at any time if need be in the future. I lost 70 lbs and then stabilized for several years. Having a mammogram two years ago they found a large growth in my left breast. Before going in for breast removal we had the saline removed from my band. I did not want to part with my band.
  5. Hi, I wish you the best of banding! Do some reading and follow your bariatric center's instructions. Watch some video and realize this is just a tool. Please don't stretch your little pocket as eventually it stays stretched! These blogs are a great help. I have my morning coffee every morning visiting on these sites. They are great in assisting with motivation. Have many a happy & healthy years ahead!
  6. Congratulations! Glad to hear another person is doing well. Listen to your body, follow the instructions from your bariatric center & walk, walk & walk.
  7. Here is wishing you a speedy recovery. You are getting a handy tool to help yourself to seek a bright future. Use it wisely and become happy & healthy. Keep smiling & walk, walk & walk!
  8. I did not have my liver tested. Is this something new they do? I started at 302 pounds and lost 69 pounds the lst year. Maybe it has to do with the results of all those other tests. Anyway there is always something new to learn. Wish you all much happiness in the years ahead! Keep smiling!
  9. My Surgeon did not have me on a liquid diet. He just asked me to cut back & try to lose 20 pounds before my date which was in September. We started the pre-op health updates in June which found several things so I'm glad for all the tests & health updates. After the band placement I did not have any gas or pain. I think his method as a good one as I was already on my way to not eating that big quantity of food. And after my monthly appointments & slow fills I did throw up on occasion. Then I started really listening to what my body (& band)were telling me and things went well. I do not talk to friends about the band as I don't want to hear their opinions. I wish you all good sailing. Keep smiling!
  10. We're thinking of you. Your lap band story will be coming soon telling us that you now have a great tool & you are on your way to healthy living & happiness. Keep smiling, think positive & listen to your nutritionist & the folks at your bariatric center. Wish you a happy future! Joanne
  11. Glad you are home and you are healing. We are thinking of you.
  12. You light my light. Thank you for sharing! I was going good until they found cancer in my left breast. I had that removed last summer and am still healing. I had tests & new mammogram last month and was pronounced "cancer free". I feel great but the light eating mind-set is not happening. I plan to walk, walk & walk this summer, so I should find my stride soon & get back on the plan.
  13. Welcome, we wish you the smooth use of your Band. Use it as a tool to healthy living. Track your nutrition and listen to your body, You can be pleased and happy with your Band by light eating and following the advise of your bariatric people. Be positive and joyful and walk, walk & walk ! I wish you a Sparking future!
  14. Welcome to our healthy journey! I have never been sorry I had my LapBand placed in 2006. My boarderline diabetes, swollen legs, and high blood pressure have gone away, The only regret I might have is I should have had more knowledge or training on nutrition. Be happy and follow your medical personnel's directions and walk, walk & walk. Love yourself, wear a smiley face & your future will become healthy & bright. Happy sparking!
  15. :) Love yourself. You can do it! I had my Lap Band placed in 2006 and it is the best tool ever. Once you are on solid foods track your Nutrition and follow their rules as Dylanmiles23 says in the post. Think happy positive thoughts and walk, walk & walk. Enjoy summer!!
  16. I have only had one fill, and now I am able to eat everything and have been gaining my weight back! What do I do now?
