  1. Sweet I haven't put a claim in yet as I had my surgery this April 07. From what I have heard it is about $3000. that you'll get back. Maybe someone who has claimed can let us both know.

How are you feeling by the way? Can you burp now and did you call TLBC?

i cant burp.... i find it odd... but u get used to it....

i got the 'review' back... everthing is ok.

  2. hi, no i dont mind telling u what the refund was........ problem is, im not exactly sure myself because it turned out that i would have owed this year...... so the 2 cancelled each other out..... id guess around 3 thousand, but dont quote me

thanks for the replies. and yeah it was just a request for receipts...im really greatful that its not a full audit.. but it scared me just the same! lol

  3. i was banded by dr. joffe, and have never even seen dr. yau, but i hear great things about him.

i only met dr. joffe for a few minutes, my consultation was very quick...and the day of surgery he came to see me again only for a couple minutes.

since then, i have been dealing with the other staff and hey are great. i was kind of sad to hear this news but at the same time i am not nervous about the quality of the rest of my post op care.

  4. just curious...

does anybody think there would be a quality difference of having one done in hospital vs. a plastic surgeon? maybe the one paid out of pocket will be done 'prettier'?

  5. my 4 month anniversary is tomorrow....

some of yours has passed and some is coming up in the next couple of weeks..... just want to congratulate everyone on your progress so far.

mine has been about -30lbs and 2 pant sizes!..... i find it low compared to some others, but it's way better that what i was!!

ive had 4 fills.... and am at 6.5cc in a 10cc

    what's your progress so far?

what has been the hardest thing for you to deal with to-date?

what has been easier than you thought?

the hardest thing for me, occasionally, if ive let myself get too hungry because of working or something..... is that i guess i dont chew properly and try to eat quickly! ouch! u can imagine.... i hate to admit, ive had a

    generous share of pb'ing.... :sick

the easiest thing, or most surprising, id say, is that i am able to tolertate some foods that i read are 'more difficult', so that makes me happy.. but maybe if i go for another fill, i won't anymore! lol

    :clap2: to all of us!

  6. I changed my ticker, and I guess, technically made my March goal, which was to get back to and surpass my pre-defill weight of 181.6. I was 181.4 this morning, so... I'm BACK, baby!

3 weeks exactly.. left of March. What can I do in 3 weeks? I'm going for 175 :omg: YEAH! 6 lbs... doesn't sound crazy! That weight sounds like a crazy number for me to ever be at though! (but so does every weight i've hit in the last 6 months!)

    :omg: amazing!!

    good job

  7. me too...... i felt the scale has been sssslllloooowww.... but today i had to go out and buy new pants, 2 sizes down... made me feel very good and excited to go back real soon for the next size(s) down...

im moving soon and hope to leave all the larger size clothes behind.....:gluck:

  8. Thanks sg sg,

Also Sg Sg, may I ask how much weight you've lost so far? Just curious, cause I'm so looking forward to being at that stage.

    Jordhana

well, dont go by me...... ive had a bit of a slow start...i think because i need more fill......but u can see the success of others, some of which are just unbelievable

    but i have no regret.

  9. did you talk to them about financial aid?

when i was in the clinic i noticed these pamphlets talking

about getting a load/payment plan for the surgery.

also, to answer any of the medical questions you have, can the

clinic fax or mail you the q and a sheets they have?

it talks about all the possible complications..... which are slim by the way.

re: erosion.... the plastic doesnt erode.... what it means is that the band rubs into the outside lining of the stomach.... sounds terrible...but this isnt something that turned me off getting the procedure... and they also told me its a long term side effect if it even occurs/

  10. hi doriana,

for my 2nd fill they only gave me 1.5cc. (3 for the 1st), and they were at the same times is a yours..... i am noticing a difference as well wih food.. need to be extra careful, but i am not having the same problem as u....... i dont have the experience others do... but u sound 'too tight'.... do they work weekends??

on an aside, congrats on your progess! i am envious of it actually lol

i was banded a week before you, and haven't had the same results.... and the fact that they are taking a more conservative approach to my fills is making me frustrated because i havent had any loss in weeks.....keep up the great work
