  1. For me that moment was just tried of struggling everyday doing simple tasks. I finally had enough, and knew I had to make drastic changes.
  2. I've told everyone who has asked and then some. I went completely public with my odyssey to lose weight.
  3. @Salodyssey Good luck on your journey!!
  4. Yes, I will definitely be interviewing a bunch of them and then formulate a game plan. Thank you!!
  5. I do have 1 consult scheduled at the end of September. I've never done any type of plastics. So this is a whole new world to me. Thanks!
  6. Hello all, I posted this in the guys room, but figured more eyes would see it here also. I am still in the losing phase of WLS. I started my journey at 688, and am currently at 396. I was wondering how far out before your goal weight (Pounds/months) did you start seeking/interviewing plastic surgeons? My goal when I am done is to be near 225 (after plastics). My WL surgeon estimates 60-70 pounds of total loose skin. What procedures did you have done? Costs? How was recovery? Anything you can pass along, I'd appreciate! Thanks everyone!!
  7. Thank you @@Djmohr!
  8. Understand that.
  9. I've read that weight stable had to do with allowing the skin to retract, I doubt my skin will do some if any of that from being so stretched out for so long. Thanks for the tips!
  10. Hello guys, I posted this here because I wanted a guys perspective. Thanks Guys!!
  11. Sleeved 7/6 and doing AWESOME!!!
  12. Weighing yourself daily is just setting yourself up for defeat and disappointment. Most Dr's would agree with that. Stick with a weekly or bi weekly weigh in.
  13. https://www.facebook.com/SalOdyssey/photos/a.486137994869340.1073741828.485792314903908/650239038459234/?type=3 Going really well for me thus far. Stalled around week 3, but picked right back up in week 4.
  14. See I don't know if I could be that restrained. Luckily, I haven't really had to find out.
  15. I have a 30 oz Yeti, 30 ounce RTIC, a 20 oz RTIC, 2- 10oz RTIC, and another 25 ounce bottle on the way, but I forgot what brand it is. All are insulated, and keeps everything nice and cold for a good long while.
  16. YOU and ONLY YOU, have to be at peace with the decision to have WLS. Your family & friends can either support you on kick sand. I know that's harsh. I've tried many diets too and failed. This was done FOR ME. Not my mother, brother, or other family and friends. Luckily for me, my entire support circle has been super supportive and understanding. I wanted to reclaim the life I was losing. Most people who say surgery is the easy way out are usually uneducated about it. Maybe he should go to a support group or surgeon's visit with you to understand the process better. Good luck!
  17. 4 weeks post-op this coming Weds, and absolutely no buyers remorse at all. Things have been going really well post-op for me. My only remorse, was not doing this sooner.
  18. Varies. For me, went in Weds AM, left Friday after lunch.
  19. Why drink that chemical crap bomb at all? So many other choices out there.
  20. I was swallowing pills 24 hours after surgery.
  21. Yes, I find myself colder at certain parts of the day but especially at night.
