  2. So sorry. What did your primary insurance say?
  3. PB2 both regular and chocolate I found to be good.
  4. Good list so far. Let us know how it goes when you try the others.
  5. Hello all, As someone who will be post-op soon, I figured rather than have it scattered over multiple threads, why don't we list all the various Protein drinks, waters, powders, etc that you've had and give your opinion on them. I just recently tried Atkins Lift Lemon Flavored, and found it pretty good. I like my drink a little sweeter, so I added a little Crystal Lite Lemonade mix to it. Quiet refreshing! On a 1-5 scale 4.5. So what Protein Drinks or waters, etc have you had?
  6. I wouldve been so mad about that. You told her and she told everyone else. Thats why i havent told anyone. Im going to the gym, and thats all they need to know. With the sleeve the weight lost isnt so drastic. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App What do you mean weight loss is not that dramatic with vsg? That's not what I see and hear from ppl. Am I wrong to think I can reach my goal? Sent from my Nexus 6 using the BariatricPal App Everyone loses at a different pace. Similar builds may be that one loses 10 pounds in a week, while the other loses 5. Everyone is different and results from person to person cannot be compared. Each journey is its own.
  7. I am so curious about what people are "eating" during the liquid diet phase. My dr didn't tell me that I had to do it - I was told to have liquids for two days prior to surgery but I want to do the two weeks just to prep my body for the surgery (shrink my liver - get used to not eating . . .). What have you all been told to do?? Only protein shakes? Soups? Some vegetables? Can you mix fruit into your shakes? I have read/heard so many different things. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I am allowed protein shakes 3-5 a day in addition to picking 2 items from a 6 item list consisting of light yogurt, 1 cup raw veggies, sugar free Jello, pudding, cream of wheat or oatmeal.
  8. The weight gain from IV and swelling, Water retention are pretty obvious things with any procedure. The 3 week stall, while unexplained I think it's the bodies why of responding like WTF just happened?
  9. You got to do you. If he really and truly loves you, he should want what's best for you, a healthier you. Although as someone said above these arising issues are fairly common in couples where 1 goes through WLS. Stay strong, and work on you. He will either accept it, or sadly you or he will have to move on. Maybe some couples counseling could assist you both? Best of luck on your journey @@rdharri!!
  10. Totally normal feelings. Stay strong @@albare1978!!
  11. Stress could cause it. I use Ethromycin-Benzoyl Peroxide gel daily for acne. There is also a Clyndamyacin- Benzoyl Peroxide gel as well. I've found the Ethromycin gel eliminated 90+% of my acne.
  12. If you're permitted by your medical team, some pills can be crushed and mixed with applesauce or yogurt and ingested that way. My Dr has recommended that. From what I've been told you cannot crush extended release pills, you'd have to opt for the regular version of that medication.
  13. That seems way to low. My Protein Shakes are 120-150 calories each and require 3-5 a day. Even the new Atkins Lift drinks are 100 calories each.
  14. For me at least days 2- 4/5 were the worst. After that it was fairly smooth. Good luck!!
  15. I've been blogging my WL journey on FB (see signature line). food pics, body shots, etc.
  16. Your Dr should be able to go back (I don't know how far) and amend those appointment notes.
