Does anyone's goal weight still leave them "overweight" or "obese"?
I set my goal weight from 225-250. Its been 15 years+ since I've been anywhere near that. Once I get there I will have to evaluate how I feel and look and see if I am comfortable in that range, or go down a little more too 200-225.

NESTING PRE SURGERY
I "nested" before my 1st attempt (surgery aborted) because I didn't want to risk getting sick by going out and about. So I stayed home during my 2 week pre-op diet to minimize my exposure to potential germs. I also did some Soup prep and ordered stuff I needed, so that I was prepared. Now when I go for my 2nd attempt I plan to do the same. Don't want to risk getting sick and delayed further than I already was/am. So I will prep what I can and just relax and stay away from people to reduce my risk exposure. Good luck @@Womanvsmirror!!

Incision leaking
Keep it clean, and loosely covered. I would still advise your medical team.

The feast before the famine...
I wouldn't use the word funeral, but at my first attempt, I enjoyed a hefty steak and a couple of slices of pizza from my favorite pizza place. That was really all I wanted. Obviously not in one night.

How Often Do You Weigh? + Update?
I am preVSG, and I weigh in every Saturday morning. My scale is the ONLY scale I go by. I've found that Dr's scales vary way to much for them to be considered consistent. So whatever my scale shows, goes.

Doc said weight loss plan was a waste of time. I need encouraged.
We're not holding hands here. I don't sugar coat things. I am a straight shooter. Your statement as well as the Dr's original statement are both false. You will lose weight with water exercises, and a lot of it too. The key to any exercise regime is to mix it up by doing different exercises. Losing weight though is not just about the exercise only, it's about what's going in your mouth. To suggest you cannot lose substantial weight with water aerobics alone again is FALSE. Many others, along with myself have lost a generous amount of weight in a short window just with water exercises. Hell most of my pre-VSG weight loss has been done in the pool. You can believe what you want, that is your right, but you're wrong.

No, he is wrong. Swimming is THE BEST EXERCISE one person can do. I've had weeks with just swimming generally (not laps) where I've lost 6-10 pounds combined with low carb eating.
